Default Lowering Spring Advice

Im looking to lower my 2000 ss. I see that bmr and strano are the more popular choices but I want something lower personally. Does anyone make springs as low as sportlines but have a higher spring rate?

You can buy a custom spring perch from ground control to mount on the front shock, and a custom perch to mount on the rear axle. That will let you adjust height to where you want. BUT you will notice that the ride and handling will not be nearly as good at the lower height.
Good ride + handling = needs suspension travel.

Prokit is no lower than BMR. And doesn't have nearly the springrate needed for it to be that low.

Get Koni shocks and BMR/Strano springs, put the Koni on the lower perch, and do the heater hose mod in the rear. That's pretty low. You'll be scraping everything in the world with that setup.

Another option is true coilovers like LG G2s or KW Variat 3s. But they are over $2k.

Have you driven, let alone lived with, a car on Sportlines?
What you think you want, and what you end up liking, may
be a whole lot different.

How low are you looking to go? We also offer a 1" drop lower control arm. Combine that with our 1.25" drop spring and you are looking at 2.25" of drop. And if you run the "heater hose" mod with our rear springs it will put you somewhere in the neighborhood of 2" in the rear. All while maintaining excellent handling and ride quality. Whether or not the car will be too low to be driveable is up to you

Would do this ideally but my budget does not allow it

Just as a point of feedback, if you have long-tube headers, encounter sloped driveways or speed bumps/tables, get ready for a really big headache.

I went with a modest Koni drop and had to get spacers to get over the speed bumps in my condo complex and the parking garage for work.

If you don't encounter any of those problematic driving conditions, please forget everything I said, discount my opinion as that of one who is simply jealous he can't have the ride height he would like and go get a BMR/Strano + Koni (lower perch) combo. :-)
