Default talk me into Founders

Looking to purchase a transmission mounted adjustable torque arm. Looking at Founders and UMIs. Everything else on my car is UMI and typically revert to the "buy once, cry once" method but for someone reason I'm looking to save a buck on this. Is there any credible difference in the 2 that would steer me away from founder's product?

FYI, running around 530hp and will see 95% Road race and autocross, 5% street.

Id get Founders over anyone. Quality is great, made in the USA, and their prices beat everyone. I dont think youll have someone give you a bad experience about them.

I have the UMI torque arm, but Founders didn't make theirs when I got mine. With that said my buddy recently bought the founders and it felt equal in quality to mine. The only difference I noticed is that the UMI comes "assembled" and the Founders you kinda have to put together yourself.

If you are looking to get the relocation kit to the trans x-member as well (maybe a good idea with 530 hp and mostly track time), I don't think you can beat the price of MWC's kit. It also has a rod end up front and a pivot on the x-member which should give better movement than the bushing style that others offer.

I just installed mine this winter but haven't been able to drive it yet.

Founders is said to have the strongest TQ arm on the market( not saying everyone else's isn't plenty strong enough) I have all founders rear suspension and love it. I have had Zero problems and is its hard to beat there prices, however i think i am going to go with a different brand TQ arm solely because founders does not make a tunnel mount at the moment. If they did i would buy it in a heart beat. If you are using a relocation cross member and find one for a deal i would go with founders TQ arm but if you are buying it all new i would see if a UMI or other cross member plus founders TQ arm is cheeper the MWC kit. i love founders and i wish they had a tunnel mount TQ arm

I plan on running they subframe connectors. Also go pick up the relocation kit bar so I can run the kooks true dual exhaust over the axle. I'm thinking hard on which lower control arms I want from founders too bit they have like three type yo pick from.

z-camaro, I can't use the relocation mount because it puts me out of class in autocross.

If having to assemble the TA is the only difference, than it's a no brainer.

+1 on the MWC arm. Don't forget to consider weight. I don't know what theirs weights but Iknow MWC sell some of the lightest stuff out there. When comparing to UMI and BMR its not even close. I believe the prices are comparable and they sell a relocation bracket should you ever want it.

Road racing... I'd look at an Unbalanced Engineering de-coupled torque arm. And I wouldn't even consider anything else if you're really going road racing 95% of the time.

Otherwise, the BMR, UMI or MWC long torque arm and relo kit is what you want. Founders doesn't have a trans relo kit... and I would not run a super strong TA off the back of the transmission. That's asking for trouble.

I have a Founders pan-hard relocation kit. Looks like quality on par with my UMI pieces to me. I will buy from both brands in the future.

You really shouldn't need to be talked into Founders. They make very good products, for extremely reasonable prices.

Jake brought up a great point. If you do decide to go with the Founders Torque Arm, I'd make sure to buy the UMI or BMR Relocation Crossmember to take the stress off of the tailshaft of the transmission.
