Default poly engine mounts, are they all the same?

i ask this because i know in the past a certain poly trans mount has raised the trans causing pinion angle issues......are any poly mounts known to raise or lower the engine at all? any that are consistently the same size as stock? im running a new rubber trans mount.

I just searched this the other day on here. Seems Prothane is the way to go, and avoid Energy Suspension ones. Not that they make the engine sit any different, just premature wear/failure from the ES ones.

Here's one of them. I just googled poly engine mounts and searched specifically under LS1Tech and started reading. There's some comments here and there in the solid vs poly threads too about going with prothane too.

I went with prothane. Unless you're pulling the engine, or the k-member, you only want to do this job once, so pick the right part.

Prothane 100%. The Energy Suspension version with that plate is garbage.

FWIW, I installed the ES motor mounts in my car, and as I recall, they were a nice, snug fit, in the OE clamshells. As for longevity, I can't be too specific, as I sold the car almost 4 years ago. However I did have them in place for 3-4 years, prior to the sale, and I experienced no issues with them.

I saw I had ES in there and I changed them out for Prothane. Then I got a K member and did it all again because it's fun!

I need new engine mounts. I know I don't want solid, but what am I going to notice from the cabin by going with Prothane engine mounts over the OEM rubber version? Any additional noise, vibration, or harshness?

The oe rubber mounts are definitely smoother. I wish someone made a firmer rubber mount. Poly pretty much sucks on everything besides sway bar stuff.
