I have the BMR xtreme STB. I have heard from different people that a STB doesnt have affect, and that it does have affect. I felt like it made the front end a little tighter, but not as great of a feel as SFC's. I went with it because it is huge, and chromoly. The hotchkiss doesnt seem that good to me, as where it mounts, it pivots. I thought the point of the STB was to keep the shock tower from flexing, wouldnt the pivoting allow the STB to "follow" along with the flexing?

If you're going after looks then you want the Hotchkis, as for function the BMR or SLP stb will work just fine. Some guys will say they felt a difference while others say there was no differance, in the long run it's a great mod and for the price you can't go wrong.

LG Motorsports one is good, as it is a 3 point. Doesn't mount to anything sturdy, but at least it triangulates everything properly.
Unless you're trying to squeeze every little thing from your fbody, I would spend that money on going to a track for few hours instead. There's barely any difference, but I just hate the sloppiness of the front (or rear for that matter) so I had to get every single bit.

Personally, which ever one is the cheapest is the best bet IMHO. UMI just released one, and as normal with them, it is 20 dollars less than the competition, just as the thread from 2w0s060 shows

I have the 3 point edelbrock. very nice piece, but kinda a pain to install - had to get the neighbor kid to help me get the cowl bolts started. It tightened the car up ALOT. I noticed a huge diff on the the highway overpass transitions from asphalt to concrete.

absolut_speed, my mom ran into one of the head ladies/people of the sccagrr at the Kohl's store in Bettendorf last weekend, and they got to talking and she told my mom how the autocrossing starts back up in April, and just all the little info about it. I thought that was pretty cool. While I'd REALLY like to race on road courses, I'll more than likely definitely check out these auto-x events. So I'm sure I'll see you when they start back up in the spring.

I actually bought the Edelbrock 3 point STB.I noticed a big difference with it
installed. It is kind of a PITA when it comes to drilling the holes in the cowl but I have read that the 3 point does not allow the towers to flex near as much as the 2 point.I wish it would have come with stainless bolts but I will
change them this spring. All in all a great STB for the price.

as for my choice. BMR stb. it felt like it tightened up the front end during cornering. (i have a nice set of s-curves rated at 30 i do at 60) the change was noticable. not large but it was present.
