I used Hawk Performance pads with my Eradispeeds. They squealed a little when they were new (even after following the break-in procedures), but they're doing just fine now....and that was three years ago. The Hawk Performance pads were much cheaper in price when compared to the GM factory pads.

He was probably going to say that they are overpriced for what you get and drilling and slotting don't do anything and that you wasted all your money if all you wanted to do was stop fast. Oh yah, my eradispeeds are in the mail. Hawk pads are on backorder though.

Goodridge lines are good. I ran them on my Jeep and they held pressure great. It took the spongy feeling out of the pedal. Enjoy.

They are just way over priced for what they are. Slots and drills DO NOT stop you faster. If you want to stop faster go bigger or get better pads with some good brembo blanks. I wanted to stop faster so I did the C5 upgrade kit on my 01 TA so I would have bigger rotors. If people are happy with the eradispeeds then good for them. I spent far less for my upgrade then the eradispeeds cost.

Braking power is an equivilant of surface area and heat. The only thing that the cross drilled and slots allow you to do is vent the heat and gasses better from the change of energy from motion to heat and gas. On the street, they don't do crap. Drag racing, they won't do crap, but on a road course where you're constantly on and off them, it will help with brake fade. At any rate...those of you who have done caliper and all four corner upgrades. What have you done? Aftermarket? C5 upgrade (which forces some people to the 17" rims)? What's the best after market brake upgrade for the money? Wilwood, Baer, Brembo, stainless steel?

Out-gassing isn't an issue on modern brake pads, so no need for cross-drilling there. Mass and surface area are more important. If you need better cooling, run some brake ducts.

Trackbird. Like Gregg said. "Out-gassing isn't an issue on modern brake pads" Brake fade is getting the brakes too hot. That is why on a road race track they have air ducts to blow fresh cool air over the brakes. Why do you think the vette came with brake ducts? If going to a bigger brake setup forces me to a 17" wheel then it is a great day. Our stock fbody brakes are too damn small. I will gladly take a bigger kit setup and a 17" anyday over stock.
