Default lack of traction

I cant seem to get any traction!! I have an 02 formula m6 that has brand new 245 50 16 bfg g force kdws's, lakewood boxed lca's, and umi performance sfc's. I am about to install a 35mm front sway bar, but that shouldnt effect this much. the engine is stock other than a lid. If I launch at anything above 2k rpm, all I do is spin the tires. and when they spin, they dont really squeal like a normal burn out, they just kind of hiss at you like worn out tires would do. If I launch low enough not to spin much, I bog the engine down. the lca's seem to have helped with my wheel hop problem. What am I doing wrong? What is the best way to launch? any other suspension parts I should get to improve traction?

Practice feathering the clutch/gas some, practice makes perfect.

Im pretty sure that your formula and my WS6 are indentical in the wheelwells and Ive got no problems with my stock 275/40/17s w/ a 52mm offset.

If you want serious traction, get Drag Radials, those will spin too though.

LCA relocation brackets will help alot, lowered or not, so will a Torque Arm.

I've got a 2000 formula and run 315/35's out back with no problem

Definitely add LCAs and brackets if you haven't done so already. When I did that, my traction dramatically increased.

Traction problems? 315's are the answer.

Oh, 275's came stock on Formula WS-6's, so they'll fit just fine. Heck, even my 315's fit with only a little BFH mod.

u have a stock sized street tire..what do u think is going to happen if u launch at above 2k-3k?? ofcourse its going to spin... best suggestion is to go a drag radial and lower tire pressure. probably spin a little still but def. a big difference. u should get relocation brackets for the lca's and torque arm will help alot as well if money is not an issue get some aftermarket rear shocks as well. if u really dont do alot of cornering or highways runs or turns a 50/50 rear shock set up should be good and still be daily driveable. but like someone else said practice launching the m6.

There are several different ways to get your car to hook. If you get a chance give me a call here at the office. I can help you with your setup.
