You need lowering springs. Those start at about $200 and labor is about the same.

Ill let you know what i did

$200 for Springs
$700 for shocks
$300 for LCA, LCA relocation brackets, and adj PHR
$370 for a TA i should have gotten cause im pretty sure lowering the car threw off the pinion angle and im gettins some moderate vibration at highway speeds.

I took the front shocks and springs somewhere to have them installed, but the back is cake

that is if you want to pay $700 for shocks. There are plenty of alternatives out there for less than half the price. Also, LCA and the panhard bars are optional. You don't need those if you just like the look of being lower to the ground. Panhard bar has no problems with lowering of the vehicle, just the changed angle of the LCA detracts from traction. If you want to lower your car and replace your shocks at the same time, you can do it for under $500 if you just get springs and shocks.

If you want to do it yourself, make sure you have a set of spring compressors on hand. You shouldn't need anything for the back save jack and a ratchet.

you want it done right? that's probably about what it's gonna cost to do it right.
can it be done cheaper? yes, much cheaper, but be careful, you may get what you pay for.

me it was 150 for the springs (if you look in the FS section you can find it to)and i did it myself in about 4.5 hours while i was BSin around with some buds of mine, keep in mind if you want to do it your slelf you need a spring compressor to do this thats why i did mine at where i work wich happens to be a shop there not hard aslong as you have basic common sence. worse case do the rears (there easy) take the fronts off and front spring and shock assimbley and take those to your local shop and have them swich the springs then take em home and put them back on..

well i love my BMRs because they didnt "slam" my car to the ground and give me clearence issues but they are much stiffer. i have heard good things about eibach prokit except the rears are alittle softer then other brands and dont help much if you want to go drag racing. hotchkis i dont know much about and the eibach sportlines are the lowest that i know of they lower like 2" as apposed to 1" on BMR and 1.5" on the prokit

You might have better luck checking out the Handling and Braking section. This question has been asked and answered hundreds of times.

I really don't think an adjustable panhard bar should be viewed as optional. When you lower the rear, it WILL be off-center. An adjustable panhard bar brings it back under the center of the frame. It's not just for better traction, it keeps you from prematurely wearing out tires from driving sort of sideways all the time.

I bought Koni SA's (the $700 shocks) and I love them. HUGE improvement over stock and KYB GasAJusts (both of which I've owned). Totally worth it, in my opinion.

There aren't any "best" per say. It all depends how much you want to lower your car. I wanted it slammed on 18's so I went with intrax -2". Here's what I did; New intrax springs $190, new take off decarbon shocks $55, labor $200. I also did an adj panhard bar and hawk HPS brake pads at the same time but those are not necessary unless you're running wide back tires so looks like about $450.

I went with BMR lowering springs and stock shocks...the ride is fine as long as the road isnt TOO bumpy...otherwise it rides great!

I have eibach sportlines. They lower about 1 3/4'' and ride pretty well. I think it's the best compromise of looks and driveability. I have never scraped once mind you.

A vague question as this will provoke a broad range of answers like these. chupr0kabra has given good advise, and although he has Hotchkis springs he didn't recommend them (I do like their rates though), why?.... Because there is no best spring. Sure, if it's just looks and only looks you're into then just pick a spring (see sticky) and go for it. Tire size, shock valving (the most critical component IMO) and swaybar size will affect how various spring rates will perform. And your intended use for the car should be considered above all else.
