Default Aftermarket Torque Arm Necessary?

With my mods in signature, would it really be a must, to install an aftermarket torque arm? I also am have some wheel hop issues that I beleive are from the stock shocks. Could the torque arm help with the wheel hop? Thanks

You need the shocks anyway, and they'd help all aspects of driving, a TA won't. Yes, you could use one, you may even need one. But you definitely need better shocks.

Yes the torque arm will help with putting your power down and it should cure your wheel hop. I didn't see if you had LCAs or not, but that would help too.

Considering how much power you make, and because you have wheel hop, hell yes I would get a torque arm if I were you. I personally have a Spohn Adjustable Torque Arm that's body mounted, not mounted to the tranny. That will limit your ground clearance a bit which could be a problem since you're running a pro kit, but it will save the strain on the tail end of your tranny. My Spohn unit works great but hangs kinda low, and considering my car isn't the lowered, I had one too many encounters with various objects on the road and speed bumps. The UMI unit seems to have better ground clearance, give them a call.

Here a pic of the unit installed on the car:

And here a pic of my ground clearance, again..stock 98 suspension:
