I want a tire that rides well and doesn't transmit a lot of road noise. But I want all the performance I can get. What sizes will work best for me (WS6 wheels)? I don't want to spend a huge amount, either. Thanks in advance.

from personal experience I can tell you that the eagle F-1's suck. The bridgestone potenza Re703's are a really good all around tire for the price. But even a little bit better are the BFG G force kdws

Yeah, I've looked at Tire Rack. I just wanted some opinions from people on here.

I went with the BFG KDWs-285s at all corners, and I am EXTREMELY happy with them. The increase in traction from the F-1s is ridiculous. I can actually get on in a corner now and not worry about my rear end kicking out on me. I highly recommend them. They're not cheap, but they are affordable and still carry a good tread wear rating.

Another vote for the Firestone Firehawk SZ50. I get my 3rd set tomorrow (Different cars, I always put these on my performance cars.) It's just a great all around tire. I'm going 285/40 in the rear and 255/45 in the front.

Look over there ----------------->
see the Tire Rack? they have a section that rates tires on performance/wet/dry/temp/treadwear/noise. There are a lot of choices but it appears that the Firehawk SZ250-Ep has one of the best ratings at 9.1 While these are opinions they are at least as good as the ones you will find on this board

I'm fairly happy with my re730's. They are a bit noisy, which I don't like, but since they stick great in the rain, I'm happy. Due to the fact that my 00 z was totaled in the rain.

Firestone Firehawk SZ50s are the best all around tires I've ever had. Traction on the street is about as good as my old Nitto Drag Radials and the wear is much better. Look no further.

I was going to buy BF goodrich G-Force Ta's for my next tire. My stock F1s SUCK! They dont ahve good grip, in any condition really, and they wear out quickly. JUNK! I think I'm going to gowith either 275/40/17s all the way around or 285/40/17s in the rear and 275/40/17s up front. Sound good?

I have had F1's and Nitto Drag radials on all fours, and can tell you the F1's absolutely suck in comparison in every way except driving in heavy downpours , then I don't consider the Nittos so hot... LOL.
Granted the Nitto Drag radials don't last as long as the F1's, but it seems there are much better tires than the F1's that still last a long time.

Im happy with my Pirelli supersports..then again im no tire expert. But overall I can take corners faster and take off with excellent grip. And not much if any road noise at all. Good luck on you choice of rubbers!
