I know that all of us M6 guys get wheelhop pretty bad but im thinking mine might be a little worse than it should be. A couple of weeks ago I shifted into second hard and got wheelhop, but it was bad enough that it made a banging noise like something was hitting under the car. It made the plastic cap that covers the screw on the extra cup hlolder ( I have a T/A dont know if camaros have these) pop off! that was the worse it ever happend but there is still usally a banging noise when i get wheelhop. Is my trany mount broke or did i bend the stock panhard bar, or is this normal

You need to tell us of any mods you've done. Maybe we can help you!! I had this problem too, I replaced my LCA's with new one's from SLP. The problem went away!
So, let us know...

Have you replaced the rear shocks? The stock shocks can't take that kind of abuse, they won't grab the tarmac! Let me(us) know! It seems like I'm the only one responding. C'mon guys, we need to help out each other...

hmmm. cat back exhaust mod....could that be loose and banging against your floor board? The stock torgue arms can take a lot abuse believe it or not so I doubt you bent that. Did you remove the panhard bar to install the exhaust? If so check to make sure that the bolts haven't worked them selves loose.

Find a friend that has a lift...with the car being over your head, evaluate the problem. Start by pulling and tugging on the suspension components. Check to see if any bolts or nuts are loose. Take your time under there and have from time to time!

I believe that the bang, which you hear, might be the tranny hitting the tunnel during a shift. I have FLP headers, GMMG, FTRA, lid, K&N, KBDD, LG STB, etc. and with the stock tranny mount, the bang was bad as sin. As a matter of fact, I thought that I broke the tranny mount - I didn't though. I installed a poly-mount and though the banging still happens every now and again (only when the tires get wet via a puddle and bite on a dry surface). For the most part it's fixed. Now, to be honest, I'm not really happy with the vibration that I have due to the new mount. BUT, I can now shift hard (aka race) without fear of breaking something. I truly believe that new LCAs will completely resolve the issue. I'll purchase some here pretty quickly. I hope that this helps.

I have an M6 with 4.10 gears and use Spohn LCA and Panhard www.spohn.net and an Edelbrock torque arm. All were direct bolt in replacement so installation was a snap. Very minimal wheel hop from that set up. We forewarned though that if you don't keep the bushing greased they will squeek like crazy.

SLP LoudMouth
BMR Torque Arm and Driveshaft Loop
BMR Chromemoly Tubular Lower Control Arms
Strange 12 Bolt w/ 4.10's
Spohn Sway Bar Relocation Kit
Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace
Hotchkis Adjustable Panhard Rod
KYB Shocks
I also believe the front is lowered, and the rear is not, but I'm not 100% sure.. The rear might have 1le springs, in any case mine does the same thing. In fact, one time when testing out the car a week after I got it, I revved up to 3500 and dumped it rolling at 5mph, and wheel hopped so bad it knocked the car out of first gear. It also makes a strong vibrating wheel hop, on w.o.t. between 1st and 2nd, and occasionally on the 2-3 switch. It feels a little rough, and like the rear is gliding on air. Also has a lil stuttering type wheel hop when w.o.t. from anywhere from 5-20mph Any help is appreciated, as at some points it feels like it might be bad enough to actually break something and I sure don't want to have to replace any suspension parts, and especially not the strange Any help is majorly appreciated.
tks

My car used to wheel hop. It was the rearend loading and twisting and unloading very rapidly that was causing mine. The wheels were literally hopping. I moved my Torque Arm mount from the transmission to the Transmission cross member and that fixed it.
Basically what I did was flip the mount over and weld it to the cross member. The only down side is that removing the Torque Arm is a little trickier.
There is a little more to it. I made my new mount adjustable too, but that didn't really work out because there is not much movement you can do with the stock torque are without hitting the driveshaft.
[Edit] There is also much more road noise with the new setup.
