Strut Tower Brace, Any Recomendations??
I was looking into getting a strut tower brace, and I'm not sure if some are a lot better than others. I have a friend who has the hotchkis one and he says he really likes, I'm just not sure if it's worth the extra money. I was just wondering if the SLP strut tower brace for about 90 bucks is just as good.

Whatever you do - get a 2 pt STB which is bolted "on top of the struts" in the engine bay.
Don't buy a 3pt STB since this type of brace is attached similar to the 2pt, but also attached to the underside of the windshield cowl - over time due to the stresses on this brace would result in cracks showing up on your windshield.

I took mine off,and can't tell any differnce,I read that on 4th gen's because they don't have strut's like a 3rd gen,they don't really need the brace
But if you really need one.BMR has very good quality parts.

well theres two reasons I was looking into getting one, to dress up the engine compartment and I know two people that have one and said that they felt a considerable difference in handling especially when autocrossing. So I figured if I can get one cheap enough it would look nice under the hood as well as giving a little better handling when needed.

Feeling considerable difference in handling supported by the lemming testimonies of 5 million STB fans: placebo effect.
Having money spent for AX/RR in the right places while not adding dead weight: priceless.

The front of the car stays closer to parallel with the horizon in corners that caused serious body roll before. You can argue all you like, but with a stock suspension, this mod makes a difference. Whether or not it does anything if you have better shocks, well that remains to be seen imo.

The car pivots on Upper and Lower A-Arms. This "magic bar" attaches above the pivot points and attaches to stationary components of the body.
To stop the roll, one point HAS to be on the parts that move. Simple physics.
Last I checked, my inner fenders didn't move. And if they flexed enough to alter camber, the paint would crack.
And lets say they DID move. As the body rolled over, it would drive the upper mount in, towards the motor. That would gain negative camber ... which is a good thing.
