Default Has anyone ever cut Hotchkis springs?

The rear is sitting a tad bit higher than I want. I was wondering if there would be any problems (bouncing) if I were to cut like a half coil off the top?

Get the rubber spring isolators from an LT1 car for the rear, as I remember, they are a bit shorter (1/2" roughly).

As mentioned, if you are still riding on the rubber donuts, ditch them for some heater hose. That'll get you down where you want to be without cutting.

Yep, do the rubber hose mod. Remove the rubber isolator and slip a rubber hose over the top coil that comes in contact with the body. Results are about 1/2" to 3/4" drop.

Surprising that the rear is too high for you; it was too low
for me after Hotchkiss all around, I jacked it up a notch with
air shocks but eventually went back to stock + heater hose in
the rear, Hotchkiss in the front. The ride quality improved
some, and less hard bang on compression (I think the Hotchkiss
might have been getting into coil bind).

I used to have the heater hose mod done and the car sat exatly the same as it did with the isolators in. I guess I'll just have to try it again.
