That answered my question. 
If the damn search engine actually works half the time I'd search the sonnaofabitch and be done with it.
I read the first and second page and what it sounds like is a suspension component however it still didn't tell what it is, what does it looks like and what it is for.

One reason why the search is so ineffective is due to laziness and unwillingness to search for topics covered 10327957426 times before. On the other hand now that these 83576983543 topics of the same thing have been created, searching becomes a lot more difficult. What came first? The chicken or the egg?
This thread is poking fun against people who don't spend a little extra time doing their homework and constructing a more specific question for people to help them. The most generic question to ask is "What's the best...?"

Flat washers are a common device according to this thread that can allow you to increase horsepower, adjust ride height, and allow you to travel back in time if using the proper flat washer. Please read every post and you to will understand the physical, chemical and quantum mechanical miracles of the flat washer. LONG LIVE THE FLAT WASHER THREAD!!!

i like hobbit washers... they lower the car about 5 " and have a adjustable air ride option... not to mention they are interchangeable from F bodys to DeLoreans. AND FYI they replace the flux in the capacitor changing it to an air assisted flatwasher capacitor...
and if you could still buy them from billy mays they would come wiith the free speed inhibitor that brings the time continuum skip down to 65 MPH making re entry a little safer

im lazy i just cut the bottoms of my 44oz sonic cups to the size i need. sure they wear out faster but where else can you get two big cups of drink and your flat washer in the same spot.

I had some old dimpled washers, but now I've upgraded to these new flat washers, it's all good

Yeah - every now and then I get some random "Topic Reply Notification" e-mail about this thread. I keep thinking, "Damn, this thing is still active?"
FYI - I just did a pretty good engine rebuild. Put in quite a few things meant to increase longevity, such as double-roller timing chain, upgraded valve springs, upgraded trunion bearings in the rocker arms, oil pan baffles, etc.
One of the more subtle mods was that I finally installed valve washers. They sit on the valve seats and help them seal properly against the cylinder head.
I also will be installing some exhaust washers. They go into the header collectors and help increase backpressure to make more torque down low.
