i was looking at some flat washers the other day thinking i could use them to make my lugnuts sit flush against the face of the wheel for less turbulence around the wheel allowing me to go faster on the track. i also melted the rubber out of my rear control arm bushings and just put a stack of flat washers in there for more grip off the line.

I just installed some large flat washers around my pistons instead of those stupid piston rings. Instant 20HP gain!

Quick question: I found some CTS-V washers on Ebay super cheap. Will they work on my Camaro?

There are the washers that double as motor mount for imports as well.

I hope you guys didn't buy those like I did - I ended up needing to use extra washers just to be able to run those washers. Yeah. Washers so I could run CTS-V washers. ****'s lame.

I just got done swapping all the washers on my car for ARP ones. Took about 3 days and $800 but I think it will be worth it. Never know when you might need that extra tensile strength. I also retorqued all the bolts with the proper lube. I read over on the honda forums that the ARP bolt lubricant is actually just about the same formulation as KY jelly. Luckily I already had some of that around so I saved the $7

holy ****. I need to upgrade my washers.... I figure if stickers in the ricer world are worth 5hp each then washers must be at least 10hp each. FYI: It is also rumored that Chuck Norris is made out of recycled washers, but only the best kinds.

What I heard was Chuck used to round house kick the center out of every flat washer at ARP till OHSA stepped in and deemed him too dangerous for that task.Stating too many injuries resulted of the centers flying out of control and striking employees down.

holy crap what the hell is wrong with you guys? The best washers that ive dealt with are made out of paper because of the capacitance properties that they have duh.

I apologize for not reading the whole thread, but I've heard there were some kevlar/carbon composite washers, but has ARP done anything with theirs to reduce the friction when torquing? The kevlar/carbons have been keeping the torque setting, but again, high friction and even some were warping. W/the ARPs, do you use lube? Is it counter productive to use threadlock blue? If you can use blue, is red alright?
