Default Best brand and design SFC's

Do yall like SLP's 3 point design, or BMR, UMI? Tubular or boxed? I plan to run true duals at some point and dont want something that will get in the way or me doing that. Planning to get some SFC's pretty soon

because hes modding his car, SFC are good to have. i notice a huge difference with mine in. get the umi or spohn 2 point, get the 98-02 2point SFC. you will have to pull the gas lines down and cover them when welding.

Don't really like SLPs 3-point SFCs. The fit was way off and it only gave about an 1/8" of clearance between my y-pipe. I would suggest going with 2-points if you're planning on running true-duals or any aftermarket y-pipe.

UMI connectors fit extremely tightly to the body of the car. They make 2 and 3 point styles both. 3 points are obviously stronger than 2's.

this is what i'm going with...

http://www.lmperformance.com/2877/1.html

have them sitting around, just haven't had the time to weld them up yet. also picked up the torque arm from them, it went in nice, but there is some added noise and vibration when you move the ta off the transmission and use a 4130 cm connection.

only reason i asked that is alot of people do this as a first mod and when they dont see any benifits after install they feel like they wasted money. alot of people also think it's a substitute for good shocks when it comes to how the car feels on rough roads.

true and looking at the original posters sig... this is your first suspension upgrade. there are better ways to spend your money than SFCs. What are your plas with the car?

If you've made up your mind about getting SFCs though, just get some UMI 3points. great product.

Well I'm a junior in high school and earning about 9,000 bucks a year. So, performance wise, in the nextyear to 18 months...I want to put a cam in it along with the transmission and stall that is going in now, get headers and run true duals at same time, lower it(I'm thinking Strano springs and billstein or koni shocks). Also, a good tune.

I was fixated on doing SFCs... I did 'em, and now wish I had spent $ elsewhere. FWIW I have UMI 2pt tubular and like sam said they fit VERY close to the body. Very pleased with the quality of the part.

X2. I have them also. Theyre very big and heavy. Mine didnt exactly lione up perfectly as well. But I just assumed it was my car being a little... "tweaked".

I was quite fond of the Kenny Brown DD's. VERY high quality. The chassis was STIFF to say the least. Saved my Z28 from being totalled when i got t-boned.
I now have to buy a set for my SS.

I'd go with the UMI 3 Point tubular ones.
