Okay I read my ABS codes at work today with a Tech II and it came up that I am having a rear wheel speed sensor malfunction. I'm gonna replace it in the next couple weeks so hopefully that'll help

WHen i put on my bfg 275-40-17's they all go away. Im guessing somehow it has to do with the vibrations and shaking in the car since the et streets dont have a steel sidewall. I know 100% for sure putting slicks on makes all 3 lights come on on my car. I have tested over and over again, and switching tires fixes for me.

Good luck, Chris

Ps.... Anyway maybe rims being out of balance, or car needing alignment could reproduce a similiar shaking, and make these lights come on. shot in the dark. Good luck.
I got this problem too every time i put the et streets lights turn on when i keep a steady speed of 35 when i put my other wheels on its normal. Is there a way to fix this?

It does it when you change wheels because your fronts/rears are not all the same size. It can't sense slip when they are already spinning different speeds, so it turns the ABS off.

I thought I was the only one with this damn issue. 98 SS that was a theft then threw in a fresh water lake. I stripped the car (from what was not already missing) and swapped everything from a 2000 rolled SS including abs sensor and all sensors (wheel). abs light stays on and brakes are horrid and spongy. I took it to brake specialist and had all new pds and rotors installed and cleaned and re-installed the abs block. No luck. Re-bled the brakes and abs pump, no luck. Brakes are still horrid only difference is my brake light does not come on only abs inop. Any suggestions?

Ok, just got back home from Mienikie (sp) They ran the coder and found my front right sensor was bad. I had them replace both front sensors with brand new ones. The difference now is I can feel the abs working in the front and it does stop a bit better but the rear is locking up and of course the abs inop is still on. Tomorrow two brand new wheel speed sensors and another 300 bucks. I'm praying this will cure the issue, if not I might look into selling this thing
After replacing the sensors I found out I need both left and right front rack and pinion and control arms plus a p/s pump.

maybe try your wheel sensors. i had one on a grand prix come a lil loose and needed dielectric grease and its now fine. thats what disabled my abs and traction control on that car.

Finally got a module in from the same year car and one w/ tcs. All lights off now except for TCS OFF and I can't toggle it on or off. That doesn't even bother me as I turn it off everytime I get in the car anyways. I did bleed the brakes though and still have a squishy pedal, any idea what thats about? PS also I don't think the dealer reflash thing matters, but it may be that the module's are year specific. I tried 2 from different years and the lights didn't go out. Thats not to say a reflash wouldn't fix that.
