Default Lowered my Trans Am by cutting a coil. Pics inside

Here is the before and after pics from cutting my springs.
The fronts I cut 1 complete coil then about 2 more inches but not quite 1 1/4 of a coil,if that makes sense.
It lowerd it about 1.3"
Somewhere around there,I never measured before and after but I don't think it's quite 1.5"

On the rear I cut 1 coil out then took that rubber boot thing out and put a piece of rubber hose on the coil. I would say the rear went down about 1.5" The rear of my car sat higher in the rear than the front to begin with.
I like the way it sits now, not to low but not stock Rides great, you would never now I cut a coil out.It rides like stock and not bouncy at all.

And the pic and the bottom is the Torque Thrust II with the caliper painted black "close-up"

BEFORE

AFTER

And my caliper--> Black Caliper

What do you mean? That is flat ground,I was standing when I took the pic.
You mean an angle where I took the picture lower?Like ground level?

The driveway is flat? Must the the road that makes it look like your driveway is sloped

Can you get a closer pic to see the gaps more clearly?

thanks!

Looks real nice!!!! I took the boots out of mine but still seems very high because of the 9" rear.
So , if you cut 1 complete coil and it dropped your car that far , I think I'll cut 1 1/2 coils off maybe that will get me where I need to be ..

Your T/A looks sleek the way it sits .
thanks for posting those pics. Gives me a good reference point .!

The rear springs are so easy to do,I would start with cutting 1 coil and keeping the rubber boot out like I did.
If you cut 1 1/2 coils out and keep that rubber boot out,it might go to low.If you plan on cutting any more than 1 coil I would keep that rubber boot in.
The rear spring coils are not wound that tight so even a 1/2 a coil could drop a inch or more.

When I said I cut a full coil out of the rear,I meant that first real tight coil and thats it,the next coil is the big coil,I didn't cut into that at all.

I got a deal on 2 rear lowerd springs, that I might mess with and put them to see what it looks like.

Anyway,good luck.Hope I helped

Chris ARE 360,

Here's the pics. Front and rear wheel from about 5 feet away. You should be able to see the gap between the tire and fender. On the front I can stick 2 fingers between the tire and fender.and on the rear its 3 fingers. So its not slammed but sits just the way I like it.
