Default well got pulled over on new years. tint and speeding question

i got a ticket for 91 in an 80 on the way to new mexico and he gave me a ticket for the two back passager doors being tinted to much(even though the car isnt mine)... looks like about a 330 dollar ticket all together. I have a couple questions though..

1) i took defensive driving already about 11 months ago. Is there any way to pospone this so i could take it again

2) as far as the tint goes it wasnt even my car just curious if iget my girlfriend to change her tint on the back can i get it dropped.

any help is appreciatedd

When's the court date? I think if it's further than the time you need to be eligible it may be okay. Cause usually you call the court clerk and they check and say okay if you're eligible. Also I think getting out of the tint ticket is really dependent on who has a say in it. I got a ticket for "red" winshield washer lights (I was dumb and 17) and they waived it once I showed up and showed them it was removed. Heck I think both really depend on how the court clerk / judge are feeling that day.

Rear can be basically black if you want as long as the fronts have no tint on them

As I was told by a State Trooper a couple weeks ago. It does not matter whose car/trailer/equipment it is. If YOU are driving, then it is YOUR responsibility.

Rear windows can be dark as you want. I am a state inspector so I know this. I would fight that part. Go to Dps's website and find it on the inspection requirements. The speeding is the bigger part of the fine though, but at least you can get it down a bit.

haha brickyard that is the exact thing he told me...yea i thought that the front driver and passanger where the only ones that had to be less tinted but aparantly not. So should i go through the trouble of changin the tint to get it dismissed or not cuz it isnt even a for sure dismisal is it.

I know in texas, you can only have your passenger side 35%, I think, but the back glass can be as dark as you want it.

The back two doors can be as dark as you want, no way you should get a ticket for that. You can get that part dropped, as long as the fronts are legal.

like stated before. All windows could be painted black except for the windshield,driver/passenger front windows. I also inspected cars and the fronts are all the law requires the % on.

LOL, yup! A lot of people manage to squeak by like that. I'm not supposed to be able to take DD at all because i have a CDL, but i still have judges offer it to me every now and then, and i'm like 'hell yeah, i'll take DD!'

At least the last time I drove along I10 and I20 in south Texas, there were long stretches where the limit is 80.
