Default What cam should I get?

I don't know what cam to get with my setup. I have a 1999 Firehawk and this is my setup. 346ci with LS6 heads. I have a 3000-3500 stall with 3.73 gears. I have air lid, hooker long tubes, 3 inch y pipe and SLP loudmouth. I have an extra set of REV racing dual valve springs that are good for over .600 lift so i can do what ever you all recommend. What cam would be good for my setup? I drive it every other day so its not my daily driver. My brother has a G5 cam that comes with specs 228/232 Duration & 588/574 Lift at 114 Lobe Seperation. I like how this cam drives. It doesnt sound like a big cam at all. Let me know what would work good with my setup. I want to get the most out of my stall and 3.73 gears. Any info would help.

I want a street terror lol. I want to do over 420 RWHP. I will run nitrous in the future also. Dumb question but how does the LSA work? I already read the sticky still a little confused.

I would get a mid 230's cam. That would get the most out of your stall. If you go much bigger, you might want to get a bigger stall. The cam you mentioned would work well, but you could afford to go a little bigger.

Should be running mid 11's with a tire.

May need larger stall.... I drive a stick so I don't have that much experience with what cam needs what stall. I always thought guys running larger cams go with a little larger stall than the OP has.

I have a 228/236 .588/.601 114lsa cam with my 3600 stall. It works well but I would def go with a tighter lsa. There are sooo many cams out there that are proven, good luck with the decision.

with 373s you could go with an MS3. However you would be faster in a quarter mile with a 230 or 236 cam. Depends how loose or tight your converter is. But if you enjoy hauling *** on the highway yhou may like the MS3 more. I you had better springs i would recoment an LSR or XFI cam, but XER is your best bet.

How well does the MS3 work with LS6 heads dual valve springs and titanium retainers?

I saw in another website that if my heads are not milled that the MS3 wont be such a good choice? True or not?

All I am gonna say is...go a step bigger than what you think you want. My first cam wasn't even in the car when I started thinking I should have gone bigger.

not true. MS3 will work fine w/ stock compression.

lots of cam only 6speeds make over 400RWHP w/ stock heads.
