Yeah, accept in 2005 Texas was actually good LOL.
Who has Texas beaten this year? Oh gosh, i forgot McCoy had a HUGE game against A&M. Their best win was at a Subpar OSU.
They played in a weak conference this year and just happened to be the best at the BCS dick sucking competition. TCU deserves this bowl game and everybody knows it.

THE smack talk about how good Bama is has already started. THey barely won so many of their games. UT has the #1 defense. UT just had an off night. Nebraska threw everything but the kitchen sink at them, same way Bama did to FL. If you watched the BCS selection show last night Kirk H. nailed the nail on the head. Bama is gonna come in all slack,and UT will be pissed and UT will dominate them. (and I'm NOT a UT fan, but just support the big 12 when my team isn't in it)
UT's had quite a few "off nights" this year. Saturday's game was saddening, to say the least! TCU is a joke and do not deserve to be there. BCS got it right, IMO. I like how Boise State and TCU got paired up...kind of funny I think that they're both still playing soft teams to the end of the year!
If I was a betting man, my money would be on Alabama for the championship. I hope UT proves me wrong though.

No kidding, take a look at Texas' schedule, not to mention a WEAK big 12 conference. I see what you mean about big games on small teams.

TCU would be on par with Texas Tech as far as competing in the Big 12.
