Ok, got a truck and someone had that ugly *** chrome door trim on the edges. I removed it and now there is a sticky residue, glue type stuff left behind. It isnt hard or anything but Im not sure what to use to remove it. Im sure you guys have gotten an F-Body or something that had this crap on it and may know how to remove it.

Any recommendations?

yea, Ive been told some different things but dont want anything that will pull off paint. Where can i get this stuff? Autozone?

Goo Gone... period. It's not going to hurt your paint, but it will take off any hard to get off goop.

goo gone has always worked great for me. u have to spray it and let it sit for a little bit then start rubbing it. u can find it at office depot usualy

LMFAO yea its on the edges of the door = paint so will stay away from Goo Off.

Ill try to Goo Gone, if it doesnt work will try the others I seen. The residue is really soft and sticky, will come off if I keep messing with it but wish there was a way to spray on and wipe off lol.

Where else can I find Goo Gone?

 

So do I get the normal 8 oz bottle or the 12 oz bottle of spray gel. I know from experience from most products, the easier to use spray stuff doesnt work as good. Thanks

 

Goo gone can be picked up at home depot, wallmart, even wallgreens I think. Good stuff and from what you are describing it should work no problem

 

WD-40, sounds crazy, but I had some sticky crap that got on my paint and wouldn't come off. Finally sprayed it with WD-40 and it wiped away clean.

 

Ive used Goo-Gone and WD40 with success.

 

The best **** ever made. It takes tar off like it is nothing and it won't hurt the paint at all. You can get it at any auto body supply house.
