Unhappy was a sad day sold the ws6

So due to financial changes I had to sell my baby. I thought I was going to cry. Lol so with the little bit of profit I made I had to look for something cash. If it had sold in the 2 weekends before there were some nice choices but things never go right and I ended up with a foxbody Stang (turd!!!). I'm a little stuck though not sure if I want to sell it for a profit if possible or since the body and interior are good I am looking to do a swap. What better swap than a ls1.

Please spare the snide remarks about how I am a traitor or crossbreeding. Opinions other than that are welcome

why not swap a 4.6 terminator or a new 5.4 or 5.0 in it. would be cool to see a foxbody with a new 5.0 in it. thats the route i would go if the cash was available.

Because those routes would be much more expensive than swapping it with an LSx motor. Plus it's a lot easier to make power with these motors.

Agreed this will be a budget swap so a lot of time collecting things I need while I drive this motor in the dirt

This guy has gone 9s with a carbed 6.0 swap, stock long block parts, cam only.

I am all about LS in fox car, ******* were only quick because they are light, not because they make power.

Here is about what it will cost you to do a LS1 swap in a Mustang. There is cheaper ways to do this but I did not feel like fabing parts so I just bought what I needed to get it done

AJE K-Member $360.00
Transmission crossmember $160.00 (Or build one for about $20.00-$30.00)
Kooks 1 7/8 headers $650.00
Aftermarket wiring harness $450.00
Motor and transmission $2,000.00
Fuel system around $300.00
Drive shaft built will be around $200.00 or $300.00

My 6.0 in my 89 was:

700$ engine

Intake and MSD box 6010 controller 600$

Pan 125$ with pickup and tray

T56 was 1100$

For you, headers can be stock 5.0 headers and weld on the LS flanges for 60$

Otherwise, you can get a new carb for 50 and rebuild for 50, or a new carb, from 250 on up to 1200$, depending on what yu want/need.

Efi is too much for me and i can tune the MSD box tiimng on my cheap 200$ lap top no problem, no bigger injectors and no dyno tune by a pro needed.

From what I've seen, they clear pretty well, no issues there.
