My brother has been moved to his rehab facility. He is at Baylor Medical in Downtown Dallas. He no longer as the trake or G-Tube, and no longer has to wear the C-Collar. All the fractures have healed and things are looking better each down. He is starting to sound and really act like his old self again. The last thing for him to do is put back on the weight he lost since May. He (6' tall) was about 175 pounds when the accident happen, and now he is somewhere around 130 pounds.
The left lense looks different since he is having some vision issues in his left eye. He is seeing double out that side.

They havent said. It seems it will come and go. Like when he is asked how many of something he sees, it sometimes right and sometimes not. But when he starts seeing double, he tells the nurses. So, at least he knows when he is seeing double.

Haha...everytime I have gone to DFW (I live out in Abilene), I have been stopping at Whataburger to get him a shake. They still dont want him eating bread just yet. But hopefully by the time I get there Saturday, he can. Becuase I am getting him some more Whataburger, haha..

He has a discharge date from Baylor Rehab now, and that is no later then August 27. When I went by this weekend, I brought he a full meal from Whataburger. #8 (3 piece chicken strips) with a chocolate milk shake, and he ate everything. We also took him out side to show him his car when he gets back to driving. I have been using the car since I bought it as a DD and "commuter" for making trips between Abilene and DFW. As it sits right now, he is about 6 to 8 weeks ahead of were JPS they he would be. They did think he would be at Baylor until beginning to middle of September (got there July 15). We are hoping that he will be driving again by his birthday and back to work by November.
