Default prayers for my younger brother please **Post #109: Pics of his Car**

My brother was in a severe car accident at 2am Saturday morning. He was getting on I35 W after leaving work. He lost control of his car and hit something in the center median that caused the car to go airborne and flip. While in the air, he was ejected from the car and thrown across the freeway to the grass of the south bound shoulder.

He has a pelvic and neck fracture. And a depressed skull fracture that is pressing on his brain. He is in a chemically induced coma and still in critical condition (but stabilizing) condition.

Good news, he is moving his arms and legs, so he is not paralysed. And his swelling has gone way down. He is in the ICU at John Peter Smith.

Thank you all in advance.

He is now on minimal ventilator support. He is breathing on his own, the ventilator is there to give him extra oxygen and to step in if he needs it. The doctors are very pleased and optimistic with the signs they are seeing.

JPS has some of the best trama doctors in Texas on staff. Your brother is in very good hands there.
Now that ive said that, I lost my youngest brother in 2009 after the car he was driving left the road and struck a tree. He was transported to JPS but later passed due to swelling of the brain.
When your brother recovers make every minute with him count.

Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. His swelling keeps going down, and the doctors and nurse are very hopeful that he will be stabilized enough for an mri tonight or early tomorrow. His next big step is to start becoming responsive to commands.
