you can try pro directional. Im not for sure if they are hiring but its worth a shot. They pay good, but when the bottom falls out, lay offs can be quite bad. I would suggest where I work, but we just hired 3 guys. If they dont fair out to well they may have spots open. You can pm me for the company name if you want to just give it a shot.

Things are slowly beginning to pick up off shore, land how ever is going pretty good. Rigzone is a good site, but you can look at drilling contractors web sites and most have careers sections. Just depends on your experience, if you start off with a drilling contractor, your starting off from the bottom but have huge career potential, that takes a long term investment though of your time.

Due to a shortage in hands in west texas you can jump up the career ladder pretty fast with some common sense and a good personality(personality optional). Everyone is hiring and a lot of it is 14/14 jobs so you dont have to move.

The town I am staying in is in the middle of a modern age oil/gas boom. It is obvious who wants us here "land owners and contractors" and who doesn't. Every open piece of property close to town is turning into RV parks and I'm sure that all of the restaurants aren't hurting either.

If you decide to hire on, personality is a huge part of moving up but be careful because this line is very cut throat and everyone has buddies who they would like to bring on.

The Permian basin is heating up again with unconventional plays and there are already shortages across the board.

The OTC site has a massive list of companies involved in the oil industry. It can aid in a job search.
