Default **** eBay Non-Sellers!!!

I placed a winning bid on a 6.2L engine on ebay. After the auction ended i contacted the seller and he told me he was not going to sell me the engine because he did not get enough in the auction for it. He also stated that he was going to sell it to a local guy who offered more. He did NOT set a reserve on the engine and did not reserve the right to end the auction early. I am so pist off right now!!!!!!!!!! I have already contacted eBay and reported him. Sorry For the rant I just needed to vent.

Here is the link if anyone wants to view it.

Come on man. Did you really expect him to sell for a grand? I'm sure you can understand why he wont let it go.

Well the guy he is selling it to is only for $1500. And the price is not the main point. Its the fact that he follow the damn rules. I would have understood if he would have set a reserve, but he didn't. It's not my fault he didn't. Why should I get the foul consequences?

What rules exactly? A seller, just like a buyer has the legal right to back out of a sale at any time before the transaction is made.

The seller sucks at ebay for not having a reserve price. Seller always has the right to end the auction before it closes, still has to pay listing fees but can end the auction early.

first problem was trying to buy an expensive item from someone with 2 feedback, a crappy description, and crappy photos. obviously not a serious seller.

Ummmm, no, you couldn't be more incorrect. He can end it before the auction is over, but not after this guy won it. It was no reserve auction so it sold for the price it ended with. This guy should be banned from ebay. I know years ago you would be for something like this. Now ebay sucks, they don't do anything about it anymore.

I think you got shafted but hey life is what it is maybe he saved you from an engine that would have been a "pos" good luck on finding what your looking for.

I don't think it does any good to complain to ebay, as there was a seller I had purchased from, who posted items for sale but never delivered, this is where I learned to read feedback before buying, a very expensive lesson. I sent a complaint to ebay, received NO response! Got lucky though as I paid with paypal filed a dispute and 30 days later got my money back, wasn't an expensive lesson after all. However the guy still sells on ebay.
