No BS we won in this. I am working on a video for this race and will post it up tomorrow hopefully. its a stock 2000 GMC Sierra with a 4.8L. BTW it was the slowest vehicle there and it will be in an issue of Super Chevy Magazine.

your giving it too much credit, he has had this truck for a few years and never washed it, and the body is beat up from the previous owner. he has a rail car he usually races in Super Comp but the motor let go a few weeks ago in that, and we went out there just to have fun and wound up winning. the greatest part was the look of disgust in the the guys face, who got second place.
when the sun went down it started being consistant, it dropped 3 tenths from sun up to sun down. i guess from the cooler intake air temp

That boy can drive both ends of the track very well. I was told that he didn't even get a time trial before the eliminations started.
2 of our fellow LS1Tech members battled it out in the finals in the footbrake class on Saturday and took home some good $$$.

There was a pretty good LS car showing at that event. There were quite a few 4th Gens and a couple of Gen 5 Camaros out competing.
Hopefully more LS1Tech members will start coming out to actually compete and see how much fun it is. There is a NMCA/NMRA event at RPR on November 12th & 13th. The classes and schedule will be a lot like the Super Chevy Show except there will be Fords, GM and Mopars all mixed together in the bracket races.
