LSx scene around Austin?

LSx scene around Austin? I may have an opportunity to move to the Austin area in the near future and was just wondering what the car scene around there is like. I've heard it's a really cool place to live and could use some input from you guys.

I live north of Austin, but I would say it is one of the best places to live in Texas. Nice area, great lakes and plenty of work. Not enough highways, but other than that it is a really nice place to live.

My girlfriend's grandparents are house shopping out there and apparently you can get a lot of house for not a lot of money. They said the same thing about there being plenty of work.

You can get some good deals on houses depending where you want to live. Anything around the lake gets kind of pricey though.

Car scene is pretty good. I'm on both AFB and faststreetcars. While AFB is OK, the members on faststreetcars tend to be more active like going to the track, going to meets, taking their cars out of the garage and driving them the way they were intended. The cars (and trucks!) on FSC tend to be faster too.
