It does not go far enough. Our medical system is a disaster. Most modern nations in Europe get better care for less money with socialized medicine. I say we copy the nations who do it better. Our system has proven a failure by comparison.

Wait till you're 75 years old and see how you feel about that. Most of Europe is broke do you not know that? I don't see why we try so hard to be Europe...Most of Europe is a shithole and are more broke than we are. People should be wanting to be us not the other way around. There's a reason we became the best and baddest country on the planet, and that certainly was not by giving stuff away. It was by earning everything we have. Now this reform gives way to more and more taxes.

I agree that healthcare needed some fixing but the government needs to stay out of our personal lives. Government was not meant to interject themselves into our daily lives but the more we let them...the more control they'll have over EVERYTHING WE DO.

And I certainly don't want that.

The government is not in control of anything. They are just the vehicle by which the most powerful and wealthy wield their control over everything. That is where all of this socialism rhetoric is coming from. Big pharma, big insurance and the AMA don't want their big money gravy train to end. So, they have teams of people who's job is to produce rhetoric and propaganda to divide the people with fear. Just listen to the mainstream media, it is working great for them.

The government is not in control of everything???????? Are you kidding me????? Crawl out from underneath that rock you've obviously been living under and open your eyes and ears. People like you blow my mind. Completely oblivious as to what is really going on. Why don't you ask Europe how they're doing, or maybe go spend some time in Russia...and then attempt to tell me that we aren't headed down the same path.

Default Answer this

I have one question for the Obamacare supporters. If it is such a great plan then why ==oh== why has the administration given out so many Obamacare waivers and exemptions to many groups that helped and supported him to win his election. The Labor unions have received 7 times as many exemptions as other groups in the United States. Obamacare does have some positive good provisions but the mandate is just like the supreme court said it IS ===A TAX! The program is so great yet the president is providing influence to give exemptions and waivers to many groups who got him elected and that is wrong and pure corruption. Do as I say ==Not as I do mentality. It good for yall and we want your money but me and my friends are exempted from it. That crap should be illegal. Mark my words President Obama will be a one term president.

Actually I firmly believe governments are often filled with corrupt individuals and they stands on both sides. I'm pretty sure martial law is being executed in Egpyt right now actually, so it's probably real. Sorry, you missed understood me. If you have a question, I'll give you an answer. It may be just an opinion, but I promise I wont try to pass it along as the gospel and only truth!

Not even sure what this means, but I appreciate all the heavy lifting you're trying to infer that you do for me. What is it you and the rest are doing for me exactly?

BTW: I support the President and the government as an instrument of national policy and that's how I support "you". I don't know who I'll vote for as I am waiting to hear all the speeches filled with nothing but the truth. I've never been a straight line party voter and never will be. I dont even support Obamacare, I just responded to a young brother in arms who believed he'll have to turn his weapon on US citizens when martial law hits this country and another who stated that we potentially lost half our freedoms from Obamacare(not even sure what he meant, but felt he was way off in his math). Yes, I threw the BS flag because I have faith that we have more people in the government trying to do good than bad and dont believe martial law will hit the US in this lifetime or ever. Thats my belief, but not, written in stone as the truth.

Really I guess they don't ration health care either? Oh they just don't give you the treatment that you need. They make you wait till you just give up or go away.

The thing that a lot of people miss in this program is that private healthcare does not go away. People can still buy private plans and private practices will still be there. Rich people will still be able to get special treatment.

1. the doctors hurt the system by charging out the *** for procedures in order to pay for their medical school loans

Plenty of doctors, residents and graduating medical students are on a 25yr plan to pay their loans. That's a long time, how much do you think they are overcharging?

2. the doctors hurt the system by charging out the *** for their fancy new equipment

Do you prefer they use cheap *** equipment?

3. the doctors hurt the system by charging out the *** for profit.

I dont know of anyone who is in the business of losing money.

A lot of people believe what you said in your quote so I wont get on your *** about it. Are there cases where medical professionals are taking advantage? Of course, Medicaid/Medicare fraud stories pop up every year. Keep in mind though that medicine is a business just like everything else. Just like all businesses, they expect to make money. Operating costs (which is a big part of the overall problem as you indirectly mentioned in the rest of your quote) are high so if it's expensive for them, it's expensive for you. People don't go to school for 11 years minimum and develop a skill in high demand and beneficial to society while taking out $150k in loans to offer their services for free.

If I misunderstood what you were trying to say, I apologize in advance. Just wanted to clear up a few things before doctors as a whole start getting bashed.

Making generalization about doctors is not fair. However, there is a very important issue with the quality of our doctors that is very much apart of our healthcare problem. Specifically General Practitioners. Their education has become so pharmaceutical centric that they are often doing more damage than helping. This is not their fault. It is a corrupting of their education by big pharma. Big pharma gives grants to colleges and text book producers to make sure that they are drug focused. This is just one part of the problem but it is a very bad one.

Bingo!!!!!! Winner winner tofu dinner. Under the new plan, it is designed to move at least part of the burden onto the people who pay nothing now.

Alamo, im glad your beliefs don't allow your to believe such things will ever happen. I hope youre right.

But if I have to answer the question of "what been done for you" alamo, then I feel like there is not enough bandwidth on this board to explain it. Unfortunately, you represent alot of the population. I've been there myself before.

Illegal immigrant's cost the medical field an ungodly amount of money each year.
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer...pdf?docID=4921

Add that with all of the trashy *** Americans who refuse to insure themselves then skip out on their medical bills and here we are. High insurance costs and high medical expenses. My wife's uncle (who is a doctor) stopped delivering babies 20+ years ago, because the malpractice insurance had gone through the roof because of all of the lawsuits in the industry. A lot of people (mostly trash) will sue over ANYTHING.
