Default I have a loud squeeky door

my driver's door is very squeeky and creeky when I open and close it. What do I use to grease it up?

Will white lithium grease work?

I WD-40'd mine when it did that a while ago, hasnt squeeked since.

i did that several times and it hasnt helped at all

go buy some grease and put some onto the door. fixed mine. it just wears away after a couple of years

did both grease and oil, doesnt make a sound anymore

Yeah mine does it too, got to give her the spray down every once in a while. Even tire shine will make it stop squeking for a couple weeks, speakin from experience on that one.

Edit: You got it fixed - good deal .

If it is as bad as mine was, you'll need to pick up a new splined shaft + "roller wheel" from the dealer for pretty cheap. Here is how the door works: there is a spring loaded guide with two indentations (halfway open and all the way open) that roll on a wheel. The wheel is mounted parallel to the ground and is held in place by a small (maybe 2") splined shaft. My squeak turned into a "pop" everytime I opened the door.

Use a screw driver to pop the door spring out and then pick up some vixegrips and a BFH to yank the splined shaft out. That **** is tough to get out - I had to go to a body shop to get them to yank it out .
