Default Mechanic in h-town for LS1'S

I have a 98 T/A A4 with roughly 200 + thousand miles and I am looking for a good shop around town that can work on it for me. I definately need someone who can work on LS1'S, thanks all Andrew!

there are many shops in houston.
gforce, icon, mti, to name a few.
type in your zip in the alphabetical sponsor list and you'll get a listing of all close to you.

Here's the shops I have had good personal experience with, for different reasons:

Mike at Icon - bona fide LS expert, does great work for very reasonable money. All around good guy and would go to him exclusively if he weren't in Stafford.

Frede Chevrolet (Clear Lake) - they only have a few good techs left. When I lived down there I used them for maintenance and also repairs with lifetime warranties (AC compressor, fuel pump, alternator, water pump, etc.) that were PAINS to do. I can tell you who to ask for. The GM lifetime warranty on these is parts and labor so I was willing to pay for peace of mind.

Champion Chevy at I-45 and BW8 - I know the service manager there and he has a C5 Z06, his 3rd LS car. You'll get good work at the going rate here, but no price deals if that's what you're looking for.

I'm still looking for someplace in Katy, where I live now, to do stuff beyond regular maintenance. I usually end up walking in knowing what's wrong (at least roughly) and directing the work done.

What part of town are you in?

He's just jealous none of the C6 ZO6's he's built have done as good as ours. Or maybe that our cam only Procharger C6's make over 700 rwhp and his don't. Or maybe the fact that Dans little 383 made a 427 C6 Chris built run home with it's tail between his legs a few weeks ago at Tanner. Who knows, I love Chris though, I have nothing against him at all! He's just cocky A good tech though!

We did pull the motor out of an 07 ZO6 a couple weeks ago that had 700 miles on it. It wouldn't have had even that many miles on it, but the customer had to drive it here from Florida.

So don't believe EVERYTHING you read on the internet!!!

Yeah well I made Lances car look like he put it in reverse LOL! No really all Chris was doing was being funny about working on a car with that many miles cause it could be a problem child if you are not careful depending on what you are wanting done to it. HPE or any of the other shops listed above are very capable of taking good care of your car.
