Default Galveston fishing spots???

Im headed down to Galveston next week with friends and family and I will be fishing the most part of the 7 days I will be there. Is there any good fishing spots that anyone would like to share? We will be fishing the galveston pier, the 61st pier, san lois pier, jetties, beach, seawolf park, galveston bay, and will be taking a couple of deep sea and bay trips aswell. Any other spots would be great!! Were looking to catch reds, trout, shark, and flounder.

Thanks in advance!

If you go to the two cabarets just before the island, you can catch crabs!

As long as you catch smaller fish during the morning, you can catch decent shark...in a boat.

No problem. Sand bar fishing isnt bad for shark either, but it comes with obvious risk.

If you wnat to catch shark throw surf rods out at san luis pass. Or just fish the end of the san luis pass pier. They pulled up a 7ft bull shark a week ago.

But it sounds like you know of all the good galveston spots. Just beware, it can get extremely crowded on the weekends, especially at the jetties and east bay (hannahs/south shoreline).

That's where my grandpa would take me fishing when I was a kid. We'd go wade fishing or take his little boat.

Go to the Texas City Dike. Take a left on the service road. Go to the 4th telephone pole. Jump in and wade. Reel in fish and enjoy. We are getting hard south winds this month and the dike offers nice protection. Plum/chart and pumpkin seed/chart brown lures or norton sand eels do the trick!! Ive been 4 times after work the past few weeks and have reeled in some very nice size trout. My buddy caught a 25 inch fat sow last night!
