Default Rented a Viper in Vegas this weekend

Just want to tell you guys, not to rent a Viper from Dream Car Rentals off of the Las Vegas Strip. i got a 96 Red GTS Dodge Viper...i was excites cuz thats ACTAULLY my Favorite Body Style on the Vipers. It was a very nice LOOKING car.
On the negative...
The car had NO AC...(not that the AC is all that great in the viper anyhow lol)
The cigarette lighter didnt work, the stereo didnt work AT ALL (very disappointing as i made a Las Vegas Mix that included Dean Martin and Frank Sintatra tunes lol)
one window didnt go all the way down.
The GPS system (extra $40) didnt work
Not to mention the car Rattled like Crazy.
and just to add to my complaining, paint chips and swirls GALORE.
The car handled ok, but lacked the power i was expecting.
You could DEFFINATELY tell the car has been ragged out by Previous renters.
I paid nearly $600 for 24 Hours... tried to get some sort of discount but they would budge
ANYHOO thats my rant.

Not gonna lie though...the car turned some heads, and got us some nice attention when Valet Parking at the Big Casinos. My buddy and i removed the Car rental License cover with a butter knife so it didnt appear to be a rental.

Id say yes it was fun, BUT the price was a little high for quality.
alright im done

I saw that exact viper your talking about a few months ago when I was there.........I saw the swirl marks but I didnt think all the things were shitted out on it. I would have not have been happy. There are other places to rent high end cars other than that one and all the things most likely would have worked...... lol. The place they office out of is a **** box anyways.

Now that I think about it Im pretty sure they've had that thing for a couple years, because I remember seeing it in '05 when I went....

The pre-SRT Vipers all had shitty A/C systems and rattled even when new. They rattle more than a 4th gen f-body does.

Just FYI

I wouldn't consider a 12 year old Viper to be an "exotic"

Im thinking about renting an exotic for my 23rd birthday on dec 2nd. What would you guys recommend to go? Will they even let me rent one at 23? I was wanting either a ferrari or lambo or maybe a aston martin.

I hope you have a few grand you're ready to throw away, they're not cheap to rent. I don't think they'll let you rent them under 25 anyway.

Thats what i was thinking. Ill have the money. Thats no problem. Id just like to have the experience... Maybe ill just go back to vegas or have one of my brother's friends rent the car in their name. They are 29+. Maybe that will work.

...big trouble if you wreck it under their name.

Oh yeah.. "you wrecking it" still falls under the "random idiot hits you" category.

I would expect a rental to be trashed out. I mean, I'd want to atleast look it over before hand before expecting higher... guess I'm a pessimist. But yeah... you don't live there... and it was a weekend deal, not a purchase.

yeah i knew it was gonna be ragged out...
BUT broken STEREO?!?! and no AC?
i wasnt too upset about the ac...i rented a newer srt-10 viper last year and the ac was working but pointless...it gets waaaay to hot in there.
My point was that the car was supposed to be Luxury...and i was effin excited to play my Frank Senatra lol thats what its about...jaming out in a badass ride on the strip yellin at chicks lol
Id say for the price...it wasnt worth it...if anything cuz the stereo didnt work lol

and yeah i looked into the lambo and ferrari and that **** was 1300 for the day...hell no.

They had a t-rex though...that would have been cool...and motorcycles were pretty cheap to rent.

I'm sorry, but a Viper is far from luxury. Perhaps the complete opposite.

No kidding, last time I checked, Vipers are one of the minimalist cars out there.

Did you charge it on a cc? If so I would call and get the charge put on hold pending a resolution with the car rental place.

Don't insult a Viper by calling it a luxury car. It is the furthest thing from a luxury car. Rough riding suspension, cramped interior, sidepipes which heat up the cabin, no electronic gizmos, no traction control, no cupholders, etc...

It is a modern day musclecar

tell me thats not Luxury....lol
im sure anyone here would love the LUXURY of driving around in a Viper. i wish my pockets were deep enough to NOT consider the Viper a Luxury!

cramped interior...you got that right...im 6'3 i hit my head everytime i got in and out of that thing.
