Default Ratcheting wrench set

I need a good ratcheting wrench set. Any suggestions? What about this one:

I havn't tried the box end ones but I do have the regular reversable ones (they look like a regular wrech). I think that they are one of the most used tools in my tool box, very nice to have. If your intrested in the reversable style check out the GearWrech version (at Sears too). I have the Craftsmans and my dad has the GearWrenches, the gearwreches are alittle cheaper and they are alittle longer than the Craftsmans so you can get more leverage out of them. His seem to be holding up just as good as mine.

I have that type of wrench, personaly I think they are obsolete technology, gearwrenches needs much less swing and also have a open wrench. Get the grarwrenches you wont regret it!

I started with that type. They just collect dust now. The higher grade Craftsman wrenches with the reversible switch are MUCH better. Less angle required to click them, thinner heads to fit tighter areas, and a smoother action.

Like GM Muscle stated, those ratchet wrenches are THE most used tools in my box. I use them for nearly everything now.

How much does that set run, about $1000?

I have the same higher grade craftsman set (2 complete sets) and they work great, I've broken 3 or 4 to date but they always replace them with no problems.

I would definantly recomend getting the higher end ones, I think they sell the 14pc set for $120 or something?

Ah, just saw this. Craftsman Club week just ended, they had the 8pc reversible ratcheting wrench sets on sale for $71.99.

However... they're terrible about getting the flyers out on time. If you go in and tell them that you just got the Club flyer in the mail, they'll probably honor the club price for you.

I have the Blue Point reversable flexhead wrenches and I love them. I think I paid $230 for the metric, and $170 for the SAE

I have a set of the craftsman reversible ratcheting wrenches and they are the most handy and most frequently used tools I own. The fact that sears replaces them with no questions is great because I work on automatic carwash equipment and I am always getting pipe dope and dirt and grime all over my tools.

if you dont get the reversiable be carefull what you use them on
I hear that if you tried to remove your flywheel bolts to loctite them without pulling the trans you may find that after a few turns you cant get the wrench out and have to pull the trans, I also hear theres other siutations like this that would be no problem if you had a reversable wrench.
just what I hear though.
I have gearwrenchs and craftsman and snapon, I have broke 2 craftsman and one gear wrench. Love em all that 10mm is probaly the most used tool in my box

Those are low quality Craftsmutt wrenches shown above.

I have some Gear Wrench sets, some Titian sets, and some Stanley sets. They are all about equal quality.

One of the Gearwrnch sets I own has a 15 degree reversable lever for On-and-off designation. Unfortunately, the wrench is a one way wrench that prevents the user from flipping it over. I did not realize it until I removed the wrenches from the box. Therefore, beware.

The nicest sets are the Stanley that have the on-off- lever and that can be flipped over. About 60 bucks a set at Walmart....

The expensive sets sold by Snap-On and Mac are nicer but I think the prices ($180 per set) are way too high to justify depletion of your cash horde....
