Default What is the strongest epoxy adhesive on the market?

I saw this tv show a while back and they had some epoxy adhesive that was used to lift a 1/2 ton pick up off the ground. It can also be used underwater and is used to make repairs on oil rig parts. Any one know who makes this?or have the name of a similiar product?

on a side note, they also were discussing construction adhesives and had some glues that were used to bond high stress wood components when nails and screw could not be used.

I am working on a few projects and would like to use some of these products.

I like Liquid Nails (the pro or contractor version or whatever), but apparently Loctite has a construction adhesive out now that looks good.

I second liquid nails. good stuff.

if what you're fixing is flexible, goop (used to be called shoe-goo) is really good stuff.

if it's wood, 30min epoxy kicks ***.

The best epoxy i have used is POR-15 Epoxy. It is applyable by hand (not like jb weld which you dont want to get on your hands), you use your hands to prep it and push it into place, making it very easy to use on hard to reach places etc..

It dries under water, completely sandable etc, doesnt crack out. I filled all the holes on my engine bay with it instead of welding and it came out awesome.

I saw that show as well. It is not an epoxy, its a glue. I can't remember the name of it. It is supposed to be the strongest glue on earth. The steel will give way before the glue will.

I think I saw that too. Its 2 parts and one of them was a spray. It was bad ***, they cut a serpentine belt and glued it back together. They pulled on it as hard as they could like 10 seconds after they repaired it. That stuff is ****.
