We do not like this Google stuff either, but we personally do not have control over it. All of you that just want to stir up controversy and talk **** about the site that has always been here for you aren't helping things.

How about some constructive comments and feedback, instead of the immature and rude stuff?
That has been tried and all that was said is its not our fault deal with it. So people are dealing with it by posting links to more user freindly sites that aren't all about the money like this site seems to be. If I were a sponser I would be packing my **** up and moving out of here. I pity this site and its members because I don't think it will be long before there are no sponsers that care about thier customers and are willing to discuss issues in a public forum. Google is not the answer it might work for myspace but I don't think it will work here.

Theres only one way that this will go away and thats when all the sponsors pull out. MANY are already doing so or are in the process.

Just dont click the Google stuff and noone gets paid (I think thats how that works).

And whoever mentioned that mycrap.com site, tell them their site is hard to read.

They are working on that as I type this. Does that get me banned too.

You're correct, it will fix the spamming problem. I'm glad you agree. Thank you for the complement as well!

and for those not familiar with the DoubleCRAP, and excerpt from Wiki
DoubleClick is often linked with the controversy over spyware because browser HTTP cookies are set to track users as they travel from website to website and record what commercial advertisements they view and select while browsing. [6]

According to a San Francisco IT consulting group, although DoubleClick does offer an opt-out page, this only affects cookies; DoubleClick continues to track users via IP addresses.[7]

looks like im manually typing in every sponsor instead of clicking

Doubleclick's tools could be used in ways that would mean that it holds personally identifiable information. The company explains that "the personal information collected is used only for the purpose for which it is requested". The information stored on DoubleClick servers belongs to DoubleClick's clients. According to DoubleClick, it generally uses the data only as a "statistical or aggregate information" source. The clients themselves promise contractually not to use information that "DoubleClick could recognize as either sensitive or personally identifiable" to target ads source.

Why don't someone fix the real problem. I don't agree. It wasn't a compliment.

It would be nice to see some representation from Internet Brands in here some time soon. It's been about 24 hours now since this thread was started.

Every time a new page opens my popup blocker goes apeshit. This combined with 2 very obvious photoshopped images in the Tech calendar (take a look at november's shadow on the car and try to line it up with the model for instance, and the model/car ratio seems to be off in several).... Well, it will be interesting to see what happens. It's really too bad, I learned a lot here.

Having the Google ads over there is one thing, but to replace the majority of our sponsors links with it is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS! I've bought thousands of dollars of mods from sponsors and don't go anywhere other than here when I'm looking for a replacement part or an oem part. Sad to see the great sponsors we have here getting shafted like this.

Why don't someone learn some proppur engrish.

I was joking. I realize that you were being sarcastic, and to be honest I don't really care what you think. Spamming is a bannable offense, and there's a much bigger issue here. The scumbag spammers taking advantage of it to grow their shitty site are people that deserve to be banned.

IB doesnt give a rats *** about what "we" think. It was already proven. I doubt Ill ever come back here... maybe once a month. Im sick of all the 100 clicks I get when every page opens. I cant even listen to my music.

Its sad to see what used to be a very good site go right down the *******.

why would they?

they apparently dont care, because this thread was started approx. this time yesterday and i know they have caught wind of it. w/ over 300+ replies in less than 24 hrs.

it would be good if they were readilly available to speak to. or at least let them be at the vendors disposal for a few hrs.
