Default 1999 Trans Am Silver 400RWHP

Year: 1999
Make: Pontiac
Model: Trans Am
Price: $7500
Mileage: 100100
Location (State): VA
Color: Beige
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

OK, I just bought a bone stock 02 EB Z06. Yes it is a little slower than the TA but give it time. So my TA is for sale. I am asking $7500. The car does have a salvage title due to flood about 4-5 years ago. I have video of the car in the flood and the only thing I had to replace because of the flood was the power seats, alternator and carpet. All of this was done 3 years ago.

Now for the good stuff. I have the following installed.
243 port and polished heads with stainless ferra valves
Strange 12 bolt 411 gears with traction control.
Thunder racing 224/224 112 LSA CAM, Comp timeing chain, Underdrive pulley, LS6 intake, larger injectors (red), ported and polished TB, Pro 5.0 shifter, New AC condensor, WS6 sway bars, OBX Stanless headers with Magnaflow Stanless catback. NO CATS ( pass inspection in VA just fine with ressonators) Sphon adj. torque arm, BMR lCA, BMR SFC, Koni adjustable front and rear shocks with Strano springs. WS9 hood, TT2 (11" wide rear)
Alpine Deck with Ipod dock and control. MTX Stealth box with amp (so you can still put the T-tops in the holders). Twin Aeroforce Interceptors. And lots more I am leaving out. All engine work was professionaly done. The car was Tuned by Horsepower factory.

Here are some pics.

I have alot of time and money into this but I am ready to start on new project. PM if anyone is intersted. I am putting this car on lot Saturday to be sold on consignment local but I wanted the guys on here who helped put this car in the right direction have a shot first.

Very nice mods for the price and the car looks pretty darn clean.

Who did the major work on the heads/cam?

How many miles on the heads/cam, rearend, ls7 clutch etc?

Please note any problems. Everything functional? I would be interested to see the flood video as well if you want to PM me.

Noticed the STP bottle in one of the pics. Was the car running right at that time?

Please PM with any infor regarding mechanical problems, body damage, codes popping up, or anything of the sort. I'm very interested in the car. I would have to fly up and drive it back, so the car needs to be able to make the journey.

Thanks,

Matt

Please PM me the same information... Basically looking to know what the car may need and exactly what may still be lingering after the flood damage.

OK guys, I am work so I will get the PM's anwsered tonight.

The Car runs Fine. Everything from the Traction Control to the ABS works the same as factory. The car has no DTC codes and the guy that tuned the car is ED who is now at VAspeed (and will be tuning my Z06 in few weeks). The exhaust makes a little noise at the band clamps by the wye pipe. The Rear bumper was painted when the WS9 hood was because of some one scratching the back left corner of the bumper (not the side panel) with there bumper and running.

The STP bottle in the car is Power Steering Fluid of which I needed to add some few months ago and the car has not needed any since.

The heads and Cam were installed about 2 Years ago at Vitale Motor Sports. The heads were done by CAMS in gloucester (NC, VA, and PA guys should know who they are). The car sits in my garage during the week due to me taking my 2 year old to the baby sitter with me on my way to work. So it does not get driven but on the weekends. I would say there is about 10,000 miles on the clutch and engine since the build. I can check tonight to get the exact amount.

Nice looking BMW. But I need to sell the TA because I already bought 02 Z06 to be my new project. Thanks.

Any rust from the flood? Do you have a dyno sheet, what kind of dyno was it on? Would you trust the car to make a 1000 mile straight trip? Could you send a video of the car idling?

Thank you,
Matt

That is one clean looking TA. Are you flexible on the price at all?
