It is the original 2.2 engine. I had a spare engine in the garage to mock up the supercharger. It's from a 94 park avenue(Eaton M62). I had the carb adapter from my 78 Lesabre Turbo Coupe so I just did a little fab work and had a friend do all the welding of the aluminum pieces- the intake, and a couple other items. Unlike the original B&M kits Dodge sold back in the 80's I still retained the power steering. The B&M kit required you to put in a manual rack and pinion. Go here to see more pics of it and my other cars. http://www.cardomain.com/id/supercharged024

I found this bit of info, they only made 3,208 Turismo 2.2's such as this one with the stripe package, hood scoop, rear spoiler, wheels, etc. in 1982. http://omnilith.net/teamomni/package.htm

Bump, man did we get snowed in this weekend. The Vikings had to postpone the game until Monday night because the other team couldn't fly in. Damn snow. I spent over 3 hours shoveling and blowing the snow.

Spring is coming, still got it. I have it on my new lift I finally got for myself(well new to me) it's reconditioned. It was 1,500 for the used one or 3500 for a brand new one same model. Which would you buy?

I got motivated to tackle the rear quarter panel rust now that I have the lift. I ended up using 16ga. sheetmetal. Menards had that or 22ga which I thought was a little thin. I thought it wouldn't be to bad to make since the piece I needed to make had no special body lines to make, just a gentle curve and the edges. Well, I'm glad I used the heavy stuff but it was a PITA to make that panel. I'm almost done. I'll finish it up sometime this week while I'm on vacation. I have to do tile in the family room first.

Almost finished with the repair, just gotta wet sand/buff. Since I haven't had much interest I'll probably hang on to it for a while especially with the price of gas nearing the $4 mark. I suppose running around to some car shows with it will be fun and maybe people seeing it up close will be interested. It is a neat little car.

I took the hood scoop off too and went to the graphics shop on my route(UPS driver) to have them make up some new "TURISMO 2.2" decals for the hood, quarter panels and on the rear spoiler. They're cheap and it'll make it look even better. I took the scoop off also because the paint on it was really bad and I have some left over from doing the quarter panel.
