Default FOR SALE OR TRADE Turbo 96 T/A with 5.3 and+++

I lost my job so I gotta ditch my project. Have worked at this job since Sept and did not expect this to happen. Head but to much with the Manager I suppose.

The car means a lot being my grad present from my dad. but there is still plenty to do before im satisfied and I dont have the money to do it now. So gunna sell it and recoupe on the bills and just start modding the truck. One is cheaper than two...

ITs a 96 T/a
Red....
90,000 miles
Leather, T-tops, power windows and doors.
Gen 3 5.3 swap

Car has plenty of goods I just put on it.

-Adjustable UMI torque arm with driveline loop (k-member mounted)
-Walbro 255.
-Injectors are 42# at 43.5 psi. The pressure ran is 4 bar (58psi, normal LSx pressure) so the injectors are a bit larger than the advertised 42#
-Custom built Truck mani front mount with 2.5" crossover, 3" DP.
-All hot parts wrapped. Turbo blanket...
-Flowmaster catback is there but is not connected yet.
-JGS 40mm wastegate.
-T70 Masterpower turbo with .68 a/r
-3" thick griffin aluminum rad
-Intercooled
-01 Ls1 intake
-Brand new 97 vette fuel rails (dont make anymore)
-all p/s stuff is NEW or very close to (low milage)
-Turn one billet p/s pulley
-New tensionor
-Low mile vette waterpump with bell pulley
-OBD2 port wired (works like stock)
-Hurst quarterstick shifter

Tranny is a Redneck performance built piece.
Transbrake valve body
Full manual shift
Reverse shift pattern (P-R-N-1-2-3)
Heavy duty 36 element sprag & drum assembly
Deep pan
High performance frictions
Rated to 800 HP
Dyno tested
6 month warranty (warrenty still left... good 4-5months)

Stall was built by the same guys. 3500 rpm
Converter is built with anti balloon plates, fully furnace brazed fins, and Torrington bearings

Motor mounts on this setup are great. Much easier to get motor bolts in and out than stock.

So the bad. To be upfront as possible. Car does need TLC everywhere else now that I concentrated my effort into the engine. The car sat for a couple years before the work was done. And everyone KNOWS that sitting is about the hardest thing on a poor car.

-Drivers side taillight is cracked.
-The front bumper looks about like every other lt1 in wyoming looks like. Color shade is off and the clear is comin up.
-Rest of the paint on the car looks fine but definitly could use a good buff and wax. It has been sitting. But no dents or major scratchs
-Interior is the part of the car that wasn't well maintained before I got the car. Headliner and sun visors show thier age. The center console was so beat from the previous owner that I opted just to tear it out. Made installing the new shifter much easier (lol).
-The stock gauges are NOT wired up to work with the new engine. IT could be done but I planned on autometer or Racepak knock off down the road so i didn't bother. Fuel guage still works.
-Stock 10bolt 3.23 rear end. I never put tires on it so I never worried about breaking it.

Im not sure what it is worth. But this is the book on it anyways.

NADA is

If the link dont work its Low = $6075 Average =$7250 High= $8200

Someone make a reasonable offer. These 5.3's have been pushed with the turbo setup's on the trucks to some impressive numbers. 500rwhp is common.

Rick @ Synergy motorsports just pushed a stock block 5.3 with 317 heads to 850rwhp.

Parish Has been beating on a unknown mile 5.3 with a z06 cam and 15-18 lbs of boost for countless runs down the track and on the dyno in the fairmont. Putting down 600rwhp through a 5000rpms stall and a 9".

The car should be capable of putting out great numbers and running down the track with good times with very little work. I just dont have the money/time/patience now to do it myself. It has been a lot of fun around town the bit I have got to enjoy it.

Would also trade for a decent new body style RCSB gm truck too.

Not trying to be greedy with the car. It is unique because of the swap and what not, but the car is far from being nice like yours.

I'd love to keep the turbo for my truck, but the car (to me at least) has little value without what its got. Make me an offer. Im up for some trades too

I'll take $7500. Car does run and drive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7yaEf0ELg8

The of the car running in the heat of the day with insane intake temps and conservative timing. Short shifting it none the less.

camaro was a full bolt on car with a ms3 cam and a nx 150 shot.

Its gotta go guys!!!

You ever built a turbo car? $$$$$$$$$

No bites on here. craigslist has treated me well with offers so far

new tranny (warrenty), $1450
new converter (Warrenty),
new fuel pump (walbro), $100
new fuel injectors (42# at 43 psi.. running 60psi), $320
new turbo (warrenty), $650
new injector plugs, $60
new Griffin radiator w/trans cooler (tho it had a short rough life lol), $300
new electric fans, $100
new 97 vette fuel rails (dont make anymore... $200 alone),
new shifter, $300
new wastegate, $240
new blow off, $280
new intercooler and cold side, $300
new umi adjustable torque arm, $400?
new ABS delete/line lock, $120
turbo kit has few hundred miles (like everything else) so is new, Value is prolly $1000 (sold last one for $1450)
new billet ps pulley, $60
new ps resivior, $40
new smknhawk alt bracket $115
New fuel filter $5? lol
all used parts are low mile pieces. This is water pump, alt, balancer, intake... whatnot.... $300
Ls1 Steering rack $100
New Ls1 steering shaft $60
Tranny and motor mounts NEW $65
New autometer boost and oil pressure gauges. $120
Flowmaster catback is hung but not hooked up. $100? lol
New tensionor $40
Turbo kit is wrapped with turbo blanket $200 in wrap.
Custom 2 bar Efi live OS... (brand new 2 bar map and iat. MAF deleted) $$?? map and IAT is about $70

Thats over 7k right there.

And none of this included the little nickel and dime **** like oil feed and drain, TC bolts, hoses, fittings and various stuff.

Extra set of 317 heads... car has power windows and locks. Keyless entry, t tops, leather.... Tranny is full manual valvebody with a trans brake...

If its too much money... then you go buy a trans am, and build it into a turbo car, and do pay for it all in a 7k budget (cost of car, and everything to turbo it). And if you even get CLOSE, that was without paying someone else to do it. My buddy has almost this much invested just into mods in his cam/bolt on/nitrous 01 camaro. Im not asking over book. So its not too much. These cars go for coin in these parts. people pay that for stock lt1's here. In fact, your the ONLY one who has said it was too much.
