PRICE LOWERED - $2000 CASH!!!!!!!!!
Bought the GSXR 600 Alstare new in 2004. I swapped in a 2002 GSXR 1000 motor in '05. The bike was then dyno'd and put down 142rwhp/71rwtq. The bike has less than 15,000 miles on it, 1000 the motor has about the same.
A year or so ago, I laid it down on a cruise. One of the forks was cracked, so I bought a whole 2005 GSXR 750 front fork setup (inverted gold forks, radial mount calipers). I have yet to put the bike back together, and am really not looking to. I'm currently buying my first house, and need the money more than the bike. Here is what needs to be replaced to get the bike running as far as I can tell:
Needs a front wheel/tire/rotors.
Stator cover (~$60)
Front left side rear set
Clutch lever
A few misc bolts will be necessary.
I *DO* have a brand new stator cover GASKET and shifter rod that I will include with the purchase.
The front fork setup has yet to be installed, so you will need to do this. I am not interested in putting the bike back together, so please don't ask.
The plastics are scratched up, with a few tears, but I have some extra plastics that are in better shape than the ones that were on when I laid the bike over a year or so ago (still have a few scratches, but much better condition overall). The front fork setup also has a steering damper that came stock on the 600 Alstare (race replica) which keeps the handlebars very stable, not allowing them to wobble back and forth rapidly. This is normally an option only on the 750/1000 GSXRs.
With this motor setup, and still being on the 600 swingarm, the bike can lift the front wheel in the first 5 gears, it is a wheelie machine, so I would recommend you being very careful when it is running again.
I'm looking for cash. I have the title in hand. This is an awesome deal for someone who is looking to get a rediculously fast bike for the ultimate cheap price. You could even part it out for more than $3k, easy.
Please email me for any questions, I will have pictures before tuesday.
Thank you for looking.
