although with the lights off it will be possible to see the flaw, I doubt with only that much of the reflective material missing, you'll see any difference in the light output of the bulbs.

i bet those were aftermaket lights, or you didnt use painters tape which is easy to remove, on a side note, your taping needs some work.

it was painters tape... dude i even sprung for the good **** and spent the extra two dollars at lowes to have this **** happen i'm pretty sure the problem was the reflective part was weak around there since that's where the light bulb goes in... either way it sucks... and that's funny you say that camarojunky because i tried to make sure i left out the part where i f'd up the tape completely good eye(or i was more asleep than i thought this morning)... lmao, but yeah it needs work it's my first set, the paint came out pretty sweet i would say, even if it is tootin my own horn everything except that part

for mine, i really only pressed the tape down hard at the edges, and then very lightly, if anything for the middle. paint does look good tho. just get some ebay halo's and call it a day lol http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...Q5fAccessories

here is a tip u might wanna try this time around. get some paper, cut out an oval shape and put it over the chrome part, then tape around it, if that makes sense? and really use your fingernails to get that tape flush at the seams. it will take u a lil bit longer to use the paper but it will be worth it i think

yeah i was thinking to use paper this time around but i'm not very confident in my spray painting yet so i was thinking the more edges and seals the less likely it'll be for the run off (if there was any) to get into the reflective part if that makes sense so going overkill mode on it i f'd it up because if i would have used paper that time it would have maybe been good...

dude the worse part about this ordeal is that everything was done getting ready to put it back together it all came out good and then oh well live and learn only one way to get good at it practice

no i still need to get the money to pay supermaro... i used chrome spray from a can... when the lights are one it's barely noticeable.... i'm still going to get the other ones though to perfect them... by the way hlaalu how much rtv did you use when you sealed them... i think i used a little too much and it is noticeable from the outside...
