I live in Riverside and will need work done on my 2001 Firebird Formula. I searched our regional forums and found good info for tranny's (Toy Shop, Pomona) and for tuners out in the valley (A&A, Strictly Performance), but am hoping for info on any tuners and trusted mechanics, especially for head/cam install, near Riverside.
I could purchase HPTuners or similar, but I will still need someone to perform the more complicated internal engine work.
Any and all info is appreciated.
Thanks.

As for tuner I would say Jeff Creech. He fly's out her 3-4 times a year to tune GM cars. He did mine and it runs awesome.

I would get HPTuners and fine tune the car. A dyno tune is fine for WOT performance, but you need more logging time to get the part throttle settings right. Rob at Strictly works directly with Ken of HPTuners, and IMHO Ken is the best tuner out there. He helped tune our race car and showed me a couple of things in regards to tuning.

I've had good luck with S.T. motorsports in san bernardino as far as tuning goes.
They have their own in house dyno and he's fairly resonable at 175.00 an hour for tuning.
alot of people will bash this, but he uses chipman revolution which is a part of predator.
i had him install my clutch, 4.10's and tune my and i'm very happy with it.
the owner's name is Adam, and the phone number there is 909 388 2536
he also installed my kenne bell on my cobra and tune that. i have alot of trust in him as far as a tuner and mechanic goes.
you might give him a call and tell him Chris Phipps sent you....
good luck with your search nonetheless.
