Hello fellas, new to the forum from north Texas. Gotta ask an opinion from you guys who are more "in the know" than myself. I'm hours from pulling the trigger on buying a 2007 CTS-V with 66k on the clock all stock. I'm aware of most of the common issues associated with these cars but my question is that he's asking 20k i think he's gonna take my 18.5k offer. Should I do it?

now we're at 19k best i can do. Will this car hold up to ~450rwhp driveline wise? i plan on using it as a DD to keep from driving my 3/4ton diesel everywhere i go.

Is it an 07? If I'm not mistaken the ad says an 08.. which they stopped the CTS-V production in 07 to make the 09+ and in the ad he says it has an LS6, which unless he swapped engines the LS6 stopped after 05. 2006 and 2007 have LS2's from the factory, and they fixed the common problems too. As for 450+ hp you should be okay, they resolved the weak rear end issue in 05 or 06.. I have an 04 and absolutely love it, if this guy is for real and just made a few typo's then I'd pull the trigger on that for sure.

^ yea talked to him, i hadda tell him there were no 08's so he went to look at the title and called me back. it's 07. i think im gonna scoop it tomorrow. I've been torn between a g8gt and g1 cts-v my main worry is how the ride quality for a dd. Granted i've never driven or rode in a V and i dont expect it to ride like a lexus ls460 or nothing but surely it cant be too harsh?

The ride quality, haha. It's not your grandpa's old caddy deville. It rides a bit on the rough side in my opinion even my dad complained about riding in it not being an "old persons' " Cadillac. But I wouldn't let that keep you from buying it.
