Not sure if I am going to put this up for sale or keep it, but looking to see what the market is for a Hugger Orange/White Leather '99 Camaro SS. 31k miles. All stock except SLP Loudmouth Catback and Hurst Shifter. Only 31k miles, and No Paint work.

Looks nice, and in that very desirable 'buy me' color.
Is the Carfax OK? How many owners? Every aspect affects price. The exhaust will hurt a little bit for those that want 'stock' but will appeal to others. It's never a good thing to lose potential buyers but it wouldn't take an act of God to return it to a 'stock' exhaust either.
If a one or two owner with 'no issues' I would ask $11,000 - $12,000 and wait for the negotiations phase to see what you could actually get. Buyers will gladly pay a premium for that color and those low miles, again if in excellent condition with the above attached criteria.

I think you can get around $15K for it. I wish I had the cash for it as that is the exact options I would want if I could buy a HOSS right now.

Well I have recently been offered $16,500.00. I think it will only be going up in value from here…. Probably just hang onto it for now. I honestly think there will always be a market for a limited color highly optioned car. As far as asking 11/12K, I would buy ten more equivalent cars at that price. This is not another Black or Red/Grey interior SS. The car is 1 of less than 46, NOT taking the White leather into consideration.

Being offered something vs cash in pocket are 'apples and oranges'. Do you know how many times I have been offered 'pie in the sky' prices for cars?? From my old 911 to my T/A, it's all talk. Show me the cash. It never happens. Talk is cheap. "Oh yeah, I'll give you $XX,xxx for your car. I'll get with you tomorrow." or "I wish I had the cash to buy it. It would be mine." Uh-huh. Unfortunately buyers are not lining up banging on our front doors to buy these cars. I wish they were but I deal in reality. If someone actually forks over $12,000 cash in hand for your ride, take it! If that's too low for you, no problem, keep it. Please get back with us too. I want to hear about real world sales so I can continue to assist other posters here like I have for the past 5+ years. This is important and can affect peoples lives. This is a lot of money for many people, especially younger people. That is why I share my 40+ years of collector car and automobile experience here. My pricing is very accurate. There are always exceptions both over and under. Nothing is set in concrete. I have helped many without getting their hopes up too high, and certainly discouraging buyers from paying too much and getting burned. Again, GLWS!!
*** If I was in the market for your car, yes, $16,000 would be a real world price if the car had 10,000 miles on it. 31,000 miles takes it out of many 'collector' mindsets, especially when not 'stock'. 1 of 50 or 1 of 5,000 it's too many miles for some. That's the 'collector' mentality, like it or not.
You said you would buy ten of them at $11,000 or $12,000. Well dealers certainly won't. Try it. See what a dealer will pay you for your car in cash. They know these cars don't move easily unless they have someone lined up. No easy loans for a 15 year old car and the cash buyers are few and far between.

It's half your miles and advertised as 'excellent'. I'll predict $16,000 on the low end. Major auction houses can bring really good money. This isn't your typical 'private party' sale. Don't get the two confused. Private sellers rarely get what auction houses bring.

Oh man, you got that right. You know you are doing real well when you can get more money than Mecum or a major auction house.
That's why I stressed the 'talk is cheap' angle. False promises almost every time. It's as bad as when people leave notes on your windshield who want to buy your car for top $$. I stopped calling these shysters back in the '80's after the idiots made their 'pitch' and started quoting wholesale NADA book values.

Agreed I would give 11k for it hands down and I dont care for camaro's im a bird guy. The prices NC01TA quotes are always lower than I could ever find them for.

Yes, it's in excellent condition with low miles and probably one of the most desired colors. Hate to burst your bubble but that white interior isn't exactly pleasing to the eyes though.

Would I take the car? Hell yea! Realistically I think it's probably worth about 15K, maybe a little more if you find the "right" buyer. It always makes me laugh when I see guys asking 18-20K for an F-Body, like....wtf are you thinking? (not referring to you).

You have a very nice, clean, well kept car and I do not mean to come off rude at all. Just want to be real so you know what to expect. 15-16K is what you should expect to get from the car. Your best luck will be to take your time finding a buyer in the target market for what that specific type of car.

I'll chime in, in my market dallas it is a 13-13.5k car retail.
These cars are definetly hard to sell as the people that buy them are car people, and know what they are looking for, and the vast majority of ls1 heads are looking for a deal wanting to buy them for less than what they are worth.
Car at wholesale auction would bring 11-11.5K

I did just see a mint 02 SS 35th anniversary with 24K, go at wholesale auction for 17.5K, a few weeks ago, I though it was high for wholesale however.
