1998 SS M6 84k
With that being said, what would be a fair price for me to purchase this car from him for? We just went and picked up a C5 with 10k miles on it and I told him I'd like to have his Camaro. I know what KBB and NADA values are but if we were to list it for sale at those prices it'd be gone in matter of hours more than likely. He asked me what he could get for it if he were to sell it to someone other than me and I told him somewhere in the $8,000 range would be a good starting point. Am I off base here? I then told him I'd give him $7,500 for it. I want to make it a fair deal for both him and I. Any input is greatly appreciated.
$8500-9000 - 1998-2000 SS
$500 - M6 Transmission
$1000 - 2001-2002 SS Premium
These prices reflecting a decent condition car (of which it definitely seems to be) and that doesn't have significant alterations which would influence the price either way.
With that being said I would say in general a clean Early LS1 SS with under 100K would sell pretty quickly in the $8500-$9500 price frame. So at $7500 I think your a little low but at a family discount I would say your not grossly undervalue.
