Goodyear F1 GS-D3 questions & help needed
I have a set of GS-D3's 275/40-17 on my 1999 Firehawk, they're a little unsettling the way they pull and follow ruts, the best way to describe it is the car feels twitchy. Is this normal? No unusual wear or other problems, car only has 38k miles, steering is tight.

More than likely it needs to be aligned, but for starters check the tire pressure. This happened on my dad's formula and one of the front tires was just a little low and when I aired it up it fixed the problem.

Yeah I will have to agree that 40 is way to high. I have the GS-D3 275 in the front and run 33 and 315 same tire and 35. Pulling is just cause they are so wide. Mine does the same thing pulls like it wants to go in the wall. My alignment is just check and I was the one that did it.

9.5 rims still too small for MY LT1/4 NA!!!
The Goodyear shop here in Greensboro put 45 psi in mine! After i dropped it to 34 everything was fine - though I still can't hook with those 275's in the rear though - If the vette 10 spokes came in an 11" width, I'd be all over those!

I had a set a couple years back, unable to afford them again since, but I ran 30-35 psi in them. The directional tread and the width of the tires are what causes it to "follow" ANY rut in the road. Scared the hell out of me the first time it happened at speed. You just have to get used to it and change your driving to anticipate it. Not easily done, you just have to be able to do it unconsciously.

When you get the car out on some good roads they work and drive great it's that beat up rutted intersate that pulls the car. Also I don't know about other states but in Washington the interstates have a seam about a foot inside the lane marker.
