Alright im starting to get a little bit worried here. I just purchased c5 wheels 17x8.5 with a 56mm offset for the front plan on running a 255 tire and 18x9.5 with a 65mm offset for the back with a 275 tire From what i have read so far i cannot run this using stock parts. What do i need to make this work??

I just got a pair of 18 x 10.5 Z06 motorsports for the rear. They are rubbing. I dont how do i fix this? I tried beating the hell out of it with a hammer and that didnt work. Can I please get some help from you guys

For the 17" x 11" TT2, they are built for the F-car, so ultimately you should not have to do anything.

You might, have to massage the inner wheel well, but that all depends on your tire choice.

Okay guys, I've read this thread until I have a headache. I have a 2000 SS vert and want c5 Zo6 wheels 18x9.5. I've found a company that sells them called WheelContact with a 50mm offset. Is this the perfect offset for these wheels? I don't want them sticking out or tucking in too far.
I'll probably be running a 275 x 35 x 18 tire.

Here is a tough question. If you were to say widen the 17X8" rims on the GTO to 9"(basically would stick 1" deeper into the fenderwell and would be rubbing) how would you go about changing the stock wheel offset to fit the widened rim?

The reason I don't want to go to a new rim are becase I don't have 2500 for 2 or 3 piece wheels that will fit my 2006 GTO and fit 275/40/17" in the rear. I have seen spacers before but I don't know if there are any for my 5 X 120 bolt pattern. Can anybody help?

To change the offset you would have to do one of two things,

A: A spacer of the appropriate thickness

B: When widening the wheels the added width would be partially placed to the inside and outside of the wheel, giving the desired offset - now with GTO wheels that is virtually impossible.

You don't have to spend $2,500 for GTO wheels that fit, there are quite a few out there, it just takes some homework. To widen the wheels and get proper spacers and adapters, you are probably already talking $500 . . .

I had my OEM 18" rears widened to 18x9 and am using them in conjunction with custom 3/4" wheel adapters and 265/35/18 PS2s. I've rolled the rear fenders, but still get a tiny bit of rubbing under hard accel with the OEM rear springs. To solve this problem I have some Pedders OEM height rear springs on order. Feel free to PM me if you want any details on my setup. I can tell you this - it looks a lot more aggressive now, but to echo Xsta's comments, plan on spending a pretty penny if you go this route.

I own a 98 Camaro 3800 series. I just bought the Chrome Z06 wheels from TomzWheels, 17x9.5 in the front, 18x10.5 in the rear. The offsets I found on their site is +54mm for the 17's, and +58mm for the 18's. Maybe my offsets are different, I couldnt figure out how to measure. They said on 99% of camaro's there are no problem. From reading this thread, it appears I will have to mod it a bit. I want to know what tire sizes to go with? From my buddies I have decided the fronts will be a 275/40/17 without any problems, but the rears are the trouble. Ive gotten a couple different responses. Im looking for a good tire for a reasonable price, would a 275/35/18 fit ok? What about the 285/40/18?

275/40/17 will work nicely on the 17x9.5's. Most folks run 295/35/18's on the 18x10.5's, but they will be ~0.5" taller than your fronts, which isn't really a big deal. 275/35/18 will work on a 10.5" wide wheel and will match the diameter of the 275/40/17 almost perfectly - it may be too narrow for your taste though on the 10.5" wheel. 285/35/18 is ~ 1/4" larger in overall diameter than the 275/40/17 and would be a good choice. The other very close match is the 315/30/18, but that'll require some BFH to clear - especially with your 58mm rear offset - and there are only a couple of brands available in this size and they are all $$. 275/40/18 is (IMO) too tall for this setup.

If it were me, I'd go for the 275/40/17 fronts and either 295/35/18 or 285/35/18 rears. Also I'd purchase a pair of good quality 1/4" hubcentric wheel spacers for those 58mm offset rear wheels. This should prevent you from having to do any hammering to the inner fender in addition to giving you a slightly more aggressive look. You may have to roll the fenders if your car is lowered as well, but I prefer that over hammering my fenderwells. The 285's would be less prone than the 295's to requiring mods to the fenders if it matters.

I guess the 285/40/18 are out of the picture then? Can you recommend any good spacers? I just really dont want to spend $250 on each rear tire and end up having them get torn up.

285/40/18 has a nominal overall diameter of ~ 27", which is about 1.3" larger than your 275/40/17 - too much rubber IMO unless you're after a drag radial look... Sent you PM on the spacers.

the adr rims have the bolt pattern of 5X120 with a +40mm offset. ive heard rumors that the bwm offset wont fit our 4th gen cars perfect. help>?

lol I am about to order custom IForged wheels and have been researching the offset. The sizes will be 18x9.5 and 18x11.

From what you have said about your own car and looking at your pics of your Fikse wheels on the front, 38 sounds like a good choice. Do you know of any pics of the +38mm offset on the front of a firebird?

And for the rears, I was thinking I could just copy the 17x11 TT2 offset (45mm) since I like the way they sit on a TA rear. Is my thinking correct here and do you recommend any other offsets to consider?
