If you don't mind me asking one more question: what tire width/ tire height would be OK at the rear without mods? I've burned all my budget on the wheels, springs and Koni's, so chassis mods could wait until I wear out those tires.

What tires can I put on a T/A 'vert with no BFH and no rubbing?
The 17 x 9.5, a 275/40ZR17 or a 285/40ZR17.

The 18 x 9.5, run 275/35ZR18

The 18 x 10.5, run 295/35ZR18

To use 345*30*18 BFG on mine of C5 I want to buy wheels 18*12 CCW with offset + 74mm. On car LPE mini tub kit is established. It will be good to work this size of wheel?
Whether there will be the: wheels will rub the upper control arm when the suspension is unloaded, it may also rub on the end of the rear leaf spring depending on how low the car is?

I have no issues with 18 x 12 +74 and the spring, the wheel just touches the upper a-arm but still allows me to remove the wheels with no problem. You can see it in this picture:

John at CCW will get it all correct to order the right wheels
Can't give you any help on the 17" wheels, but OEM 18 x 9.5 Magnesium wheels have a +65mm offset to keep the wheel/tire inside the wheelwell for Euro standards and they work fine with stock brakes and a 295/35/18 tire on the rear, 275/35/18 in front, have them on our 2000 coupe.

You speak, that wheel concerns the upper lever(arm). It can better($better) make wheels with smaller offset, for example 70 or 72 mms.? That it was possible to use wheels not only for dragracing, but also for driving for each day? Or then tires 345*30*18 will concern already wing of the car?

Bolt pattern??? 5 x 120.7mm, 18 x 9.5 w/46 offset. Will that fit an 02 T/A proper? I know its only .05mm off, but is there a safe range fitmit around the 5 x 120.65mm that can be used as a guide?

Hey guys im interested in buying some custom rims soon I was thinking 18x9.5 or 9 in the front and 18x10.5 or 10 in the back. Can I run the 10.5's in the back and a 295 or 305 with out doing the bfh or the wheel sticking out past the lip. I want the front and rear rims to look even with the body and not the rear noticeably sticking out farther. So if the 10.5 in the back would be good what off set should I run? Thanks cause im interesting in buying rims really soon and I want to make sure it all turns out how I want it. I know a guy with a lt1 and 315's and he had no prob with rubbing but his rear rims did stick out a little farther then I like. I might just get the 10 and 295's but I still dont know the best offset for what I want.

My rear 10.5's are 38 mm offset. 295/35ZR18 tires. Car is lowered and had to roll the quarters a bit.

If the offset was moved to say around 40 -42 mm less need for rolling.

I've mounted 17" TTMs on my 1999 Z28. The rears are 10.5" wide (offset 44) with 285/40/17 Kumho Ecsta Spt tires. There's not that much clearance between the tire and the bump stop (you can put your finger in between but not much more). Do you think it's gonna be OK driving like this or do I need to modify something?

Also: next I'm planning to install Strano springs (1.3" drop) and Koni SA's. Will there be more clearance problems? Will I need an adjustable PHB?

Should be fine. I have never modified my bumpstop(s) with any wheel combo I have ever run.

Once the car is lowered the wheel/tire should be farther away from the BS. An adjustable panhard is always recommended with any lowering, so that the rear axle can be re-centered.

Hey Guys, I am unhappy with the factory tires on the stock 16 x 8 chrome wheels so Iwas thinkin of running 245/45/16's for tires. I think this will improve handling by going with the lower profile sidewall but I was also wondering...

- The overall diameter of the wheel/tire will change from 25.65 to 24.68. Will this lower the car a full inch? I really dont want the car any lower than it is...

-Will this change my 3.73 gear ratio closer to a 4.10 with the higher revolutions per minute? Will that reduce or improve gas mileage?

Thanks,
Lane
