Default Started painting my wheels today.....Finished now! Pictures!

I got one finished. Here's a picture:

It turned out pretty good so far. I'm going to let it sit overnight and finish the other three tomorrow.

I was wondering what you guys think of painting my center caps? They are the cheap plastic ABS ones. Do you think the paint will stick well to it? It's duplicolor wheel paint.

I'll post more pictures tomorrow when I finish and get them on the car.

Nice job man, I have the same wheels on my red 94 firebird and I was thinking of doing something similar. Are you going to leave the lip painted? I think they would look great with the outermost lip (the part the weights usually attach to) polished. Post pics of the finished product please!

forgot to add... I think painting the centercaps would look pretty good. You could also get a set of black ABS caps used on the chrome 16x8's. I switched mine from the silver ones you have to those and it made the wheels look MUCH better IMO.

My car is red. I painted the lip because I have one wheel with a polished lip already and didn't want to polish all the lips on the wheels. I'm lazy. lol. This is just temporary anyways. Thanks for the kind words. Makes me feel like the 8 hours I put in today were actually worth it. I forgot to wear gloves while I sanded the clear off and now most of my fingers are worn down to the last layer of skin....It sucks horribly.

I did the same to my stock wheels they turned out great. I have seen a red formula running around my area that have them black with a red pin-stripe around the lip.

Looks Good. I would shoot 3-4 coats of clear, let dry for a day, then wet sand with 2000/ 2500 grit, then buff with a swirl/haze remover. would look like factory painted rims. Very High Gloss.

So I'm done.....Thank god. Only took me about 14 hours total. lol. I messed up a bit and ran into some setbacks. I am also pretty sure I got high off the damn fumes. lol. Anyways...here are some pictures. They are pretty horrible as I tried to race the sun and pretty much lost. Oh well. I'll take some more tomorrow. Oh and the color is called Graphite I believe. Also, one quick question.....Will these SlP centercaps fit my wheels? http://www.streetperformance.com/ART...83/80003-1.jpg

Hard to tell how they look until the sun is shining on them. That ought to bring the color out better.

Default Better pictures

Here's some pictures I took today

I love the way my car looks now. It made it look so much better. It was well worth the effort and money. The car is super dirty in the pictures as I haven't had time to wash it and now I can't for a few days while I let the paint set in more.
