Real Z06 rims vs. Replica
Are there any differences between the two?
I have a chance to pick up a set of genuine 18x10.5's at a good price, but I'd likely be getting replicas in the front. Unless they aren't exactly the same.

Hey:
On C5 Z06 Wheels the main thing other than the finish and weight, it is where the valve stem is located. After market can go with either in between the narrow spoke or the wide spokes. The factory Speedlines are in the narrow spoke and look pretty wacked when both types are on a car. If after market wheels are with the valve stem in the narrow spokes, as long as the finish is the same, you can't really tell unless you are told, for most of the good wheels.

ColossalCamaro: "The aftermarkets I have seen have a "European" style lip where the real ones seem to have a lip you can put wheel weights on"
Hey:
^ Thats usually the diff between 17x8.5 17x9.5 18x9.5 and any 10.5 C5 Z06 wheel.
The 10.5 wheels have a 1" lip, for the rest, the spokes are even or real close to the edge of the rim GM or aftermarket, Now some after market have a real dish of about 2-3" in the rear and they look great if you like that look. Check the pics on www.oewheelsllc.com....

Not sure where OEWheels replicas are made, but they withstand abuse just fine. I think the real ones are 2-3 lbs. lighter. Which shocked me, I thought the difference was greater, but it isn't.
